Q:it is small enough to use for nose hairs :(
A:The Tria is not recommended to treat nose hair. It can be used on the upper lip and chin area.
Q:do both models deliver the same strength of laser? Are they equally as effetive?
A:The Tria Hair Removal Laser Precision does have the same power but not the same level of treatments. The 4X has higher levels of treatment. 4X has 5 levels, while Precision has 3 levels of treatment.
Q:Would it work for black women?
A:It comes with a skin sensor to determine if your skin tone is the right match as it's not suitable for medium to dark skin tones.
Q:Will this product work on dark African American skin tones?
A:The Tria Laser Hair Removal 4X can be used by men and women with light to medium skin tones. Darker skin tones can absorb too much laser light which can injure the skin.
Q:Do I have to let the hairs on my face completely grow out before using the Precision.
A:No, Shave the treatment area thoroughly using a new razor. This allows the laser treatment to be most effective because the laser works on the hair inside the follicle, under the surface of the skin. •
A:We recommend that you prepare your skin before each Tria Hair Removal Laser Precision treatment for best results.
Q:I have very dark course hair on my neck and upper lip as well as a small happy trail and on my toes is this item appropriate or is the 4x a better fit?
A:The Precision laser would be the ideal device for your needs. This device is designed for small sensitive areas such as the area's you plan to treat.
Q:How often do you use this product daily or weekly
A:You should treat every other week. Hair grows in cycles so not every hair can be treated at the same time. To be effective, the laser needs to reach each hair follicle during its growth cycle, and should be used every two weeks.
Q:Will this product work if my facial hair is naturally black but I bleach it?
A:Yes, It works on naturally dark hair colors and not on white, blond, gray, or red hair. "Naturally" means that if you have dark hair but dye it a lighter color, the TRIA Laser 4X or Precision will work for you. If you have white or gray hair dyed a darker color, the TRIA Laser 4X will not work.
Q:Can this be used over tattoos safely and without adverse effects to the skin area or tattoo?
A:No, unfortunately you cannot use the laser on tattoos. Using the Tria Laser Precision on a tattoo can result in skin injury, such as a burn or blister, since a tattoo generally darkens the skin. TRIA can't be used on tattoos after the fact but is a great way to prep the skin for one so there's no hair growing through it after the tattoo is done!
Q:What laser is better for face and armpits?
A:Although both devices 4X and Precision are designed to treat those areas, I would suggest the Precision. The Precision Laser is smaller and ergonomically designed to treat smaller areas such as upper lip, chin, underarms and bikini line.
