Comments about IT Brushes For ULTA Velvet Luxe LBD Foundation Brush #302:

I never knew brushes this fantastic existed! I've always applied my foundation with my fingers because every brush I tried just didn't do the job. On a whim, I decided to cough up the cash and try this brush after I felt how nice the bristles felt in the store. Wow was I surprised when I applied my foundation! Fell in absolute love with this brush! It didn't suck the foundation up into the bristles and left such a seamless finish on my face. Almost no foundation was left on the brush. It all went on my face where it was supposed to. I'm going to be checking out their other brushes.

So excited but disappointed

Comments about IT Brushes For ULTA Velvet Luxe LBD Foundation Brush #302:

I was so so excited when I got this brush they're smooth and sounded and looked amazing. Sadly while it gave amazing flawless coverage, it sheds so much. After a month I've already lost about an eight of the brush. When I wash it large chunks fall out. I'm so disappointed this happened, I was looking forward to it so much

I love this brush. I use loose powder foundation and this brush works perfectly for that. I never knew how rough my other brushes were until I got this one. It provides perfect coverage and my foundation looks flawless. The best makeup purchase I have made in a long time.

Felt bad for paying so much money on a brush, have used other foundation brushes before and don't like any of them,. Had my doubts but since you can return products if you don't like them I took a chance, ,, I use Estee Lauder liquid foundation the brush blended it beautifully, looked smooth and flawless. No more sponges for me.

I have other IT brushes from the less expensive lines but wasn't thrilled with my foundation brush so I splurged on the Velvet Luxe foundation brush. They refer to it as "blurring". I didn't know what that meant until I actually used it. WOW! I know now what blurring is and I love it. The bristles are soft and the hairs are densely packed, making me think it would soak up and waste foundation but quite the opposite. The liquid or cream foundation glide smoothly over my imperect complexion leaving a much more even and natural appearance than my other IT brush or my fingertips. I want to get every Velvet Luxe brush... 1 at a time since pricey but worth it!

This is my favorite brush, since purchasing I have returned to buy 2 other luxe brushes from their line. I promise if you like the feel of luxury when applying your makeup and you like a smooth blended complexion this is the brush for you. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my luxe brushes!

Such a beautiful brush. I tend to have sensitive skin around my cheek area and because of that I am extremely picky when it comes to brushes. When I tried this brush it was seriously one of the best brushes I have ever bought. It is so soft to the touch and the makeup blends in so smoothly and evenly. Such a great brush and such a great line of brushes. Since then I have bought more brushes from this line and they are not a disappointment whatsoever! It is a bit on the pricey side but it was worth every penny! Highly recommend

This is a very good brush for applying liquid make-up - can't say how it would work for other types of foundation. Because of the type of brush it is, it works best for "stippling technique" of make-up application.

                • Q:

Hi! I'm wondering whether #301 or #302 would better suit my needs. I'm looking for a brush to apply powder. Currently I use a pressed powder (by Pur Minerals), but sometimes I'll use loose powders. I like a light or medium coverage. I use the OMG it brush to apply a tinted moisturizer and want to wear powder on top. I also would wear powder by itself. I want the option of applying different levels of coverage for different occasions, but wouldn't ever have a need for particularly heavy coverage. I keep going back and forth between these too. I've also considered #311 (though I'm afraid I will easily confuse it for my blush brush and color my face pink accidentally...but that's a personal problem). Which of these brushes would you recommend? Thanks!

                    Hi
Great question! So happy to hear you are using so many of our amazing brushes. Both the 301 and the 302 are great. The 301 with it's flat top head is best to use for powder as the flat top head allows it to hold more product and creates less fall out of powder. The 302 is best for liquid or cream foundations.
So for powder we would go with the 301. The 311 is great as well and that is less dense so will give you less coverage while 301 is more densely packed for full coverage.

I'm very interested in the It brushes for foundation application, I've never found my holy grail product from the BeautyBlender to my Hourglass foundation brush, always reverting back to my fingertips for the most natural flawless finish. I have heard that the brushes, particularly these ones, may change my mind though. Any thoughts. I'm 47, no wrinkles due to oily skin, some very slight acne scars, some larger pores on my cheeks.

The Velvet Collection are some of the best brushes out there for sure with the special optical blurring hair.

We do recommend using this particular brush for foundation as the densely packed hair helps give you a flawless full coverage foundation look.

                    Hi
We are so happy to hear that you are interested in your brushes. The #302 is more dense and will give you a more fuller coverage look then the #101. Additionally, the hairs on that brush are unique to the brush. They are optical blurring hairs to give you the most polished looked possible.

Thank you for your question and your interest in our brushes!!! This is a great question!!!

It really depends on what type of foundation you are using. For a liquid or cream the OMG 106 foundation brush is really the best! The 302 that you are also looking at would be among the best of the best to use for a powder foundation! So - mostly depends on your choice in foundation!

                    Hope this helps!

I am thinking about purchasing this product , but since it is black I'm wondering if it will be hard to clean and leave caked up make up in the brush . I use bareskin liquid foundation and I do not like the brush that is recommend for it because it is extremely hard to clean and doesn't get out all the wasted foundation it just cakes up . Which brush of the entire it brush collection would be best to use with my bareskin brightening serum? Would this brush work ? What are some other brushes I can use ? I have the # 101 . Would it just be best to use this one or the velvet luxe LBD ? Thanks for making me feel beautiful and confident !

                    Hi
Thank you for your question!! This brush would be great with your product and is super easy to clean! We are so happy to know that you have our wonderful IT brushes and are looking to care for them the right way!!! We are more then happy to assist you with this today!!!

We recommend using Baby shampoo or Purity from Philosophy to clean your brushes as these are delicate enough to keep your brushes safe!!!

Simply, mix a couple of drops of cleanser and lukewarm water in a cup or small bowl. Then gently swirl your brushes around and rinse them well with lukewarm water. This should get everything out! Pat them dry and lay them flat to air-dry. If you are short on time, on the go or for an everyday cleaning, quickly clean brushes with a make-up wipe. Simply wipe the brush from side to side and you're good to go! We recommended washing your brushes at least once a week! You can store them however you'd like, a simple "fluff" will get them back into shape!

For daily cleaning, you can simply wipe off your brushes with a tissue or makeup wipe!! :)

                    Hope this helps!!
