Comments about Butter London Brick Lane Wink Mascara Collection:

The first time I tried this I wore it over my light red/blonde lashes and it was great. It didn't add a lot of volume but it wasn't very important to me because the color opened up my eyes more than a black mascara with volume would. I loved it but after 4hours of wear my lower eyelid was tinted purple. It would be great for short term wear like going out for dinner or something.
I am hoping to try it over an eyelash primer and maybe that will help? We will see..

The second time I wore it over black mascara, hoping to add more volume and give the purple a base to stick to so I wouldn't get fallout. The purple would not appear over the black mascara, so this is probably not a good product for people with naturally dark lashes. I removed it before noticing fallout.
The last time I wore it was the most successful. I used an angled eyeliner brush and dipped it into the mascara. I dragged a thin line close to the lashes and gave a little flick. It is a beautiful regal purple and looks great as a liner. The wing stayed all day, but a couple times throughout the day I had to wipe purple fallout off of my lower lid.
Overall, if a friend was searching for a colored mascara, I would mention this brand as a possibility but I would warn them of the problems (flaky, doesn't show up on dark lashes). I will use this product up as an eyeliner but I will likely not purchase again. Unfortunate, as it is a really beautiful color.

Comments about Butter London Brick Lane Wink Mascara Collection:

As far as I can tell, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with this product. Meaning, I didn't experience any adverse reactions to it, etc. I will say that while the product does not show up on my lashes as purple at all (it looks like typical black mascara), I did, however, have purple tears for about 5 days after applying. LOL

That was the only indication that there was anything purple on my lashes at all. This is why I say dud. Unless you have extremely light (blonde or red) lashes, you will not be happy at all.
