Comments about BECCA Lowlight Sculpting Perfector:

      Here's the rundown:

This product is GREAT for contouring on ANY skin color, I use it on clients of all shades.
It is great for those of us with dry skin who cannot a powder texture for contouring because it either won't blend well or flakes.

The creamy texture helps it stay put and last all day. If you have oily skin and you want to use this product you will want to finish with a loose powder to keep everything in place.

Tarte makes an excellent contouring double ended brush that I use for this and it works great!

Doesn't create blemishes on my blemish prone skin.

Comments about BECCA Lowlight Sculpting Perfector:

This product is wonderful for contouring, and it works on a range of skin tones, fro, light to medium dark. It applies medium to sheer, however it is buildable and looks quite natural! I love cream contour and highlights because they blend beautifully compared to powders, and this compact is exceptional. I do bridal make up and my clients have loved this. I truly fear that it will be discontinued any day now, due to lack of successful marketing.. why do the best, and innovative products never get the proper attention?! Must be my bad lack lol.. I'll just have to buy a back up! I love it that much.

Comments about BECCA Lowlight Sculpting Perfector:

I bought this on a whim because I wanted to try the Becca brand. This product is excellent, but I feel Ulta's picture & description of this particular product sells it a little short. Some important details:

          - First, this is a creamy compact. Not super matte-creamy or intense. This has a very light, creamy texture; if applied with a light hand, it's quite sheer, but can is buildable for increased intensity/ color payoff (think, everyday wear versus photo makeup).

          - Next, Ulta's picture has the color of this product all wrong (a common problem, I find, on this website!). The Lowlight Sculpting Perfector is brown -- not this crazy, grayiish-brown/ black hue that Ulta's cameras picked up. For color comparison, imagine Chocolate Soleil (medium/ deep), if it were an ultra-light and silky, matte cream; it's similar in color to that, if *slightly* cooler.

          - Next, intimidating (for a contouring product) as this may look, it's surprisingly easy to use. It can be applied using Too Faced's Flabuki; but it also applies nicely with a flat, traditional foundation brush; a flat, angled brush (Real Techniques has a nice one); or even a dense buffer brush (again, Real Techniques expert brush or even UD's blending brush are great).

          - In terms of application, in the summer when I have a tan (although I NEVER tan my face), I like to apply this along the jawline, hairline (forehead and near ears), and under my cheekbones (remember, blend it *up*). I put it on right on top of my BB, CC, or foundation. Then, to make my contours last, I lightly sweep over these areas with a medium matte bronzer (Chocolate Soleil or PF bronze booster).

          - In the fall/ winter/ spring, this product can still be used (with a lighter hand) and swept over with your favorite setting power, or, if you want a little extra glow, a light/ medium matte bronzer (depending on your skin tone).

You can stop there, but adding blush and highlight to the mix really helps this product do its work. It's very blendable, and gives a very pretty effect that can work for everyday. Just remember to use a brush, start with a light hand (then build) and blend the product *up*. Hope this was helpful!

How would I use this product with a cream bronzer? Would the cream bronzer simply lay right over this or above?

We recommend applying your bronzer first to areas of the face where the sun would naturally hit, then blending BECCA Lowlight Sculpting Perfector below your cheekbones. For more info on how to contour, please visit:

This product is used as a sculpting cream to add definition to the face. The Lowlight 3: Create definition and dimension. In 1 continuous sweep, trace the number 3 along the perimeter of your face while hitting 3 key spots: hairline, hollow of the cheeks, jaw line. Repeat motion as necessary, until product is blended.
