Great dryer for my natural hair. Like the different heat and speed settings. Like that it's a smaller dryer so it makes it easy to use. The only drawback is that it isn't as powerful as the previous hot tools model I owned (the groves where the comb attachment attached to wore down in less than a year... exchanged for this model because the attachments go on different)

I bought this hair dryer less than a year ago. It was the most amazing hair dryer I had ever owned. It's quite, the attachments are great and it kept my hair from frizzing. It was the priciest hair dryer I have ever purchased, and with that did not even last a year. As much as I loved it, I would prefer not to have to buy a new hair dryer more than every few years. Typically, I have gotten 5+ years out of a hair dryer. Less that one year is not acceptable.

I bought this dryer about 1 year ago and the highest setting doesn't seem to work anymore! Not sure what happened but it won't dry my thick hair anymore. Thought this dryer would last longer considering I like Hot Tools. I am zoo disappointed!!!

It does not fold. The head is 9.5” and the length of the handle is 7.5” which includes the base of the cord into the dryer. It is 15 oz.

                        A:

This dryer does not have any ceramic material in it.

What having ceramic does in a dryer is generate far infrared heat that can be gentler on one's hair. However, the most important feature is that the dryer be ionic and generate negative ions that aid in the drying of the hair. A short time to dry one's hair means that there is less time that one's hair is having hot air blowing on it and essentially drying it out.

All Hot Tools Professional hair dryers contain an Ionic generator that will create this effect and keep the hair retaining its own natural moisture. The introduction of ion was a huge technological improvement in hair drying!

Concentrator - Concentrates airflow to smooth and straighten hair quickly and easily
Pik - Combs hair as you dry

Both attachments fit securely onto the nozzle of the dryer.
