Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

I love this curling iron. It is not slippery like some of the ceramic ones, so your hair doesn't fall off the curling iron when you are curling it. Curls stay put and it creates beautiful volume for long hair. I just might get the other sizes in this model. Highly recommend!

Really smooth and sleek, doesn't drag. Does not catch my hair down by the hinge. Comfortable to hold and manipulate. Sometimes doesn't keep up temp at lower settings if I'm curling quickly. Occasionally leaves an outline mark in the curl from the clip.

Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

I've been using this curling iron for about a month. It's the first appliance I've used that holds curls for 2 days. All my previous irons worked okay the first day, but I woke up to straight hair on the 2nd day. This hot tools iron is a powerhouse, and it's clear why so many bloggers and professionals recommend and use it over higher priced irons.

The only downside I've noticed, is that the clip is a little stiff - at least more than I'm used to. It's a little harder to slide hair through, but I'm guessing it might loosen up over time. It's not so stiff that it causes a major issue, or really lessens my love for this Hot Tools Iron.

If you're unsure which barrel size to choose, we'd suggest going with the 1", since it is the most versatile.

The main difference is that marcel irons have a locking mechanism to hold the hair around the barrel. They are frequently used by professional stylists in salon environments.

The 1" barrel is the most versatile size and can be used to achieve a variety of looks. Another great option for longer lengths is the 1-1/4" barrel, which works great to create looser, larger curls and waves.

This iron features variable heat settings up to 430 degrees F, so it is a great option for all hair types and textures. Use a higher or the highest temperature setting for effective styling of thick hair.

We recommend setting your curling iron to a higher heat setting if you have thick, coarse, or unmanageable hair. We suggest experimenting with the temperature settings until you find the setting that is perfect to achieve your desired results.
