Comments about bareMinerals bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20:

I was very skeptical about buying this product after reading other reviews. I contemplated for a long time about purchasing this but I am so glad that I gave it a chance. I went into the store to get a shade match and found that barebeige is the perfect color for me. I was still a bit hestitant to invest in the full size foundation so I ended up buying the starter kit instead. I am happy that I did because I got the full size brush along with it which is a MUST. Ladies, you need the brush to get the best results with this foundation. The first time I put on the foundation, it felt so light and silky that it didn't feel like I have makeup on. The coverage was amazing, and it made my skin so beautiful and glowy. I was truly amazed. In order for the foundation to dispense, you must shake the bottle well. I like a fuller coverage so I use 2 drops on each side of my face but you really don't need much. So far, I havn'thad any problems with the bottle or makeup oozing out, but I've only had it for a few weeks so we'll see if it holds up. The only complaint that I have is that it can be a bit hard to squeeze out the drops, but I found that if you shake the bottle well, then the drops sort of comes out on its own. Overall, I am loving the foundation and I am glad that I gave it a try. If you don't want to invest in the full size foundation and pay another $28 for the brush, then buying the starter kit is the way to go. The only downfall about the starter kit is that its only available in 8 shades.

Comments about bareMinerals bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20:

I've used BareMinerals powder foundation for years but as I age, I find my skin needs smoother more even tone. Ulta staff suggested I try BareMinerals cream foundation, which she applied very lightly with a brush (who knew you can use brushes for anything but powder?). It really evens out my skin tone, feels light and I don't have the "chalky" feel of the brush foundation. Nice light color over which I wear bronzer or blush. I work at home so don't wear every day but great for "going out."

This is the first time I tried this foundation and I'm in love. I tried the mineral powder before and could not get a color match. Luckily, an Ulta associate came over and suggested I try this one when I was looking at a different brand. She applied the foundation for me and I could barely tell there was anything there. It does not look like I'm wearing makeup, which is another plus. I will definitely buy again.

I love this product but also hate this product. I think this foundation gives you this amazing dewy glow to your skin that look flawless. However, I have dry to normal skin and it seems to catch to my dry skin. I would not recommend this product if you have dry to very dry skin only for that reason. as well it is not very long lasting. i have to touch up often when it becomes patchy.

After all of the good reviews I was let down by this product. It looked good UNTIL I put on my glasses and realized it just sits on the skin and looks like makeup. Even worse in the sunlight. I prefer tinted moisturizer to standard foundation and thought this would be similar but I was wrong. It would be fine for those who wear heavy foundation and don't mind that it shows. It does come off easily and will rub off on clothing.

                        A:

Both products are formulated for all skin types! bareSkin Foundation has a more fluid consistency, while Complexion Rescue's consistency is more cream/gel-like. Both are oil-free. Complexion Rescue provides sheer-to-medium coverage, while bareSkin provides buildable sheer-to-full coverage (to achieve full coverage with bareSkin, apply 6 drops). Both provide skincare benefits: Complexion Rescue provides an incredible boost of hydration, while bareSkin helps fade dark spots and discoloration over time. Both also provide broad spectrum SPF 30 sun protection. We hope this info helps!

Similar to Clinique Even Better Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15, both foundations are oil-free, fragrance-free, dermatologist-tested/developed, and provide skin brightening and sun protection benefits. The most noticeable difference is that bareSkin Foundation is ultra-thin and much more fluid in consistency. We recommend testing both products at your nearest ULTA Beauty store as well as reading the ratings & reviews for both at ULTA.com!

Yes, bareSkin Foundation does feature a very lightweight, fluid formula. For best application, we recommend using the bareMinerals Perfecting Face Brush (Item #: 2272522), which is specially designed for use with bareSkin Foundation.

Because bareSkin Foundation is so lightweight and buildable, this is the ideal choice for you! Just 2 drops will provide sheer coverage. We hope this info helps! :-)

Yes, this foundation is formulated for all skin types including dry skin! It is even clinically proven to help improve skin texture.

For best results on dry skin, we recommend moisturizing prior to foundation to ensure smooth application. Optionally, you can also use a primer like bareMinerals Prime Time (after moisturizer and before foundation) to further smooth skin and seal in your moisturizer for extra hydration. To eliminate any flaky, dry patches, exfoliate your skin 1-3x weekly using a gentle scrub or peel.
