Comments about Sweetease Bikini Waxing Kit 16ct:

I just tried these out for the first time. I was tired of the hassle and irritation that comes with shaving but didn't want to go to a salon for a bikini wax. I was very skeptical upon using these because not many people have success when using wax strips. However I was at my wits end and decided to just go for it, 5 minutes later and I lived to tell the tale.

The package says not to use the strips on freshly cleaned skin, so I didn't have to do any prep work. I waited about 2 weeks after shaving to get the desired 1/4 inch of hair growth and had been exfoliating in between to get rid of my ingrown hairs.

So there I was, sitting in my bathroom, terrified. The first step was to warm the strips, I first warmed them in my hand and then used my blow dryer to get them nice and toasty. I split the strip in two and placed it ever so carefully (in the direction of hair growth!) on my skin. I next pulled my skin as tight as I could, torn it off and I repeated the process on the other side.

Pain wise, I felt hardly anything (i've been waxing my eyebrows for years so I guess I'm used to the sensation). As far as how much hair was taken out, I would say it pulled out mostly everything, with the exception of two small hairs that I can use a tweezer for. Irritation wise, my skin was left red and I had a good sprinkling of small bumps. This worried me, because the ingrown hair/irritation situation is why I didn't want to shave anymore. However, after a few minutes and use of the after wax wipe, it has gone down significantly.

Now, I am typing this review and praying that I don't wake up tomorrow morning with any ingrowns, but only time will tell. If my skin isn't irritated tomorrow, I will go back and cut them into small pieces and wax some of the harder to get areas, but I don't want to irritate my skin anymore. I will report back in the next few days with how my skin is doing!

Sorry for such a long review, but I hopes this helps and happy waxing!
