I've tried all kinds of base coats, and I always come back to this one! It glides on easily, not goopy or too thick and dries fast, filling ridges and providing a great base for polish.

I really liked the fact that this was a bit opaque. It masks any discoloration on the nail and really give a smooth finish for your polish.

I use the Seche Vite top coat and absolutely love it so I thought I would give their base coat a try but found it lacking. It does a decent job as a ridge filler but doesn't fill them in fully even though I only have slight ridges. I also found that my nails still chip after a day or two so it's not a great base coat either.

I have tried other brands of ridge filler and found this to the best. I had my sister try it and she now uses it all the time as well. While I have been a faithful OPI user until now I find I must switch for the ridge filler. Great product!

I use this product in between professional manicures to help keep my nails polished. I have oily nail beds, and this product helps nail polish last beyond my usual 3 days before the polish chips.

I don't like this basecoat because it has its own shimmer and texture. I want my basecoat to be clear, I didn't realize this had shimmer in it and would dry opaque. I bought this product to use as a basecoat to even out the texture of my nails so that polish would apply more smoothly, but I didn't see any difference. My polish also chipped faster using this than it did when I used my regular basecoat. It does look nice on its own though, if you just want some subtle shimmer to your bare nails.

Seems to help lessen the ridges in my nails, although I do file them down before I paint my nails.

I have used many base coats by other companies and find the Seche Ridge Filling Base to be my favorite so far. It has a little sparkle to remind you where you have already painted (very helpful for clear/sheer base coats). The sparkle is gone once you paint over it. I know there are other popular base coats out there and I will probably try them, although this one is really great. The Seche brand is a very popular brand and this base coat has lived up to my standards of them. I don't understand what other people were talking about by "clumping" or "streaking" but this polish does none of that. It does exactly what it says!

It filled in my ridges, but it made my nail polish chip severely by day 2! It is not worth it, I will be returning it.
