Through trial and error I have learned this product works best if you apply BEFORE shampooing and conditooning. Wet hair, apply generous amount of glaze and work through. Wrap hair in a towel you don't mind staining. Wash hands thoroughly and leave towel on at least 3 minutes while shaving, using body wash etc. Remove towel and shampoo and condition as usual. The color will still be deposited on hair and it will feel so soft once dry. The faint after smell reminds me of henna. I use every 3rd shampoo and this product has made my faded once naturally red hair bright and vibrant again! I would suggest making the glaze a little thicker just for ease of application and maybe adding a scent for those who aren't thrilled about the natural smell.

Purchased to help keep highlights bright between colorings. I use it every time I wash my hair and it has not made any difference.

This stuff was so not worth my money. I was very hard to apply to my hair without dripping and staining everything. Not to mention, it didn't do anything for my red hair. Did not make it seem "vibrant" or "radiant" like the bottle says. It just left my hair very dry and frizzy. Don't buy this.

I recently dyed my hair from Blonde to an auburn color (at a salon, not by myself). I bought this at Ulta when going to buy color care shampoo and conditioner. My main concern was that it would turn my hair a fiery red color. I read the reviews before using and I'm glad I did. I made sure to put it in my hair before washing out my shampoo (which is actually what the directions tell you to do). People noticed that my hair was a bit more red the next day. I am considering also using the brunette glaze since my hair will be fading back into blonde. The smell and consistency of the product (it is very runny) aren't great but it works so, so what.
