I will not speak much about the smell, as it translates differently to everyone.
What I will say, as far as the fragrance, is that I don't care much for the scent before I put it on my skin, and then I like it very much. I put very little on, as I am sensitive to scent. I find that a little bit goes a long way- for me anyway.
Here is an absolute FACT: I am left covered in little sparkles after I've put it on, and REALLY wish that I had known it contained glitter before buying. It is not enough to lead me to return, but I am definitely careful about where on my body it is applied.

I love the perfume Miss Dior Cherie!! Was very disappointed at the perfumed body lotion, it smelled like old lady musty smell. Sorry. I was never a huge fan of the Dior fragrances until I saw on TV the commercial for the perfume, and was intrigued to try it out. So I did a few sprits of the eau de parfume at ULTA and loved it!!!
Am disappointed the body lotion was not as good.
