I don't use this product on my face, so I can't tell you how well it works on acne. However, if you are looking for something to combat KP (I have it on the backs of my arms), it does seem to improve it. My dermatologist recommended that I get a 2% salicylic acid lotion or gel, and this was the only lotion I could find that had that level of the acid. I have been using it for about a month now and while my KP isn't totally gone, it is greatly reduced. Yay! I have been using it at least once a day for a month and at less than 10 bucks per bottle it is much more cost effective than some of the prescriptions i've had in the past. Again, not a typical use of the product, but I would recommend it.

I bought this lotion hoping it would help clear up my acne. I have one or two pimples a week, a large amount of blackheads, and small flesh colored bumps. I used this product for about a month before I stopped. It dried out my skin severely. I had flakes of skin peeling off. It caused several large painful breakouts. And just generally irritated my skin. My skin is by no means sensitive. I have oily skin and it stands up to being exfoliated on a regular basis. For a product to dry my skin out and irritate that badly was surprising. Everyone's skin is different, so others might have a better experience.

I like this product, I use all the Neutrogena brands and they all seem to work well with my face. I like this moisutrizer because it is light but also very powerful.

At 56, this is the only product that keeps my skin clear and healthy. Though my skin is basically clear and I need a moisturizer, I break out from other products. Not all stores carry it, so when I find it, I buy several tubes.

I'm using this product in conjuction with the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power-Clear Scrub and I'm very happy with them. Since I had a baby, my skin flares up when I'm stressed or during that time of the month. It's gotten worse as the seasons change and none of the other products I used (at any price point) showed results as quickly as this combo did. I'm only on week 2 - the 'worse before it gets better state', but I can already tell a difference in my complexion and my face isn't as sore and red like before. I'm excited to continue using this product!

pretty good product doesnt dry or irritate the skin. However, it doesnt work in the eight hours it claims it does.

I use this nightly. It works ok, not nearly as well as benzoyl peroxide. Quit using the BP bacause it ruined any number of sheets and towels. Acne Defense is a reasonable compromise between effectiveness and not having to replace my linens.
