I've used this base coat for the last 2 years and I know that it's a good protecting, anchoring base coat. I'm not sure if it actually "strengthens" my nails, but it does protect them and help keep my polish lasting longer.

This is a wonderful product. I have always had difficult nails that peel, split, crack, etc.. This makes my nails stronger, dries extremely quickly, and it hardly smells at all. It seems to also help nail polish stay on longer. I wear it alone too.
I would definitely purchase this again.
