This was the first CHI I've purchased. I expected it to be a high quality, high performance iron, but I was disappointed that it wasn't hot enough for me. My hair tends to frizz and wave slightly, but it is not overly thick. The clerk said this iron would get to 400 degrees, but I don't think so. Even though I got it for a good price using a coupon and my points, I returned it and purchased an expensive T3 iron. So far I like it better, but I'm still not sure this one was worth paying twice as much for it.
