Comments about Stila Illuminating Powder Foundation:
I recently decided to try the Stila Illuminating Powder Foundation because I've been so satisfied with the brand's other products. This gives a velvety-smooth finish that is not too heavy or makeup-ey. I apply with the sponge applicator dampened with water, then finish with a dense kabuki brush. After using the product for a week, I'm happy to report it does not clog pores or break me out. It lasts pretty much all day without any caking or creasing. I feel like talc-based powders such as this one have gotten a bad rep lately - all those "mineral makeup" lines claim to be better for your skin - but talc is, after all, a natural, mined mineral just like the others, and if it is finely-milled can produce a lovely finish. This Stila powder has enough silicone in it to keep away any flakiness. The finish is not exactly dewy, but certainly not too matte or dried-out looking.

Comments about Stila Illuminating Powder Foundation:
This powder is just ok- if you want a sheer finish then it's for you. I perfer something with medium or build-able coverage and was a little disappointed with this powder. I returned it.

Comments about Stila Illuminating Powder Foundation:
Nice finishing powder...not a foundation! Talc is the first ingredient so this didn't agree with my skin combination/sensitive skin. I think this product is overpriced for what you get.

Comments about Stila Illuminating Powder Foundation:
I used to use Mac's Studio Fix pressed powder for years until I recently found out that the reason it works so well is that it contains animal fats, which is why its such a great runway make-up. It covers well and is super easy to apply with just a swipe of the sponge, but it was definitely the cause of my oily skin. I wanted something just as easy to apply and tried Two Faced's pressed powder and found it to be too light coverage than I desired. I told the Ulta staff that I wanted something slightly heavier than Two Faced and they directed me to this Stila product which is perfect for the coverage and ease of application. It also stays on for a while. I used to have to re-powder my nose and other shiny areas constantly with the Two Faced, like every hour or every other. I don't have to with Stila ... maybe just once at lunch and then again before I go home for the day. For some perspective, I'm Filipino with light to medium color skin. I have pretty good skin with small pores and just an occasional zit once/month. I have some oily areas (the usuals - nose, forehead, chin) and no dry areas. My skin's pretty even already.

This powder is so awesome!!! Went from using Merle Norman mineral makeup that makes a MESS to trying out this Stila powder. It stays on all day and my face doesn't get greasy at all, even after hours of wear. Blends well, covers blemishes, great product!

Comments about Stila Illuminating Powder Foundation:
I like still, but was disappointed when I went to fill my old compact with this refill powder as it is quite a bit smaller, but cost the same. The applicator that came with it does not fit in the older compact either. I do like the make up itself.
