I have dark brown, pretty much black eyebrows, so normally I use a dark brown shadow (MAC Espresso) to fill them in just a little bit so they aren't overpowering. It blends very nicely and my brows look natural, but I wanted something more convenient than using an angled brush and shadow and clear mascara. This product fits that bill: I do like that everything is all in one, so you can just stick it in your purse and go. That is all I liked, however. The application on the brown side of the pencil is uneven, slightly clumpy, and looked out of place on my brows. Even after smoothing it with the brush (which worked well), the penciled-in look was just awful and fake. I used the pencil inside an air-conditioned building, and the wax end broke off completely on my brow! I had a huge clump of wax that took forever to spread, and somehow transfer to my other brow. Perhaps I got a bad sample of this product, but I returned it the same day I bought it (Ulta was great about taking it back after I had used it once!).

This pencil is okay, but I would like it more if it were a little softer and easier to apply. The little brush is helpful for a more even look.

be sure not to add so much or press too hard because it becomes clumpy

This is a nice staple to your makeup collection. Goes on easy and fills in eyebrows naturally. Worth the money.

I'm a blonde with darker eyebrows, so chose a brown eyebrow pencil, because the blonde would be too light. The shade is just strange, like the burnt sienna in a Crayola 64 box. However, due to a plucking mishap, I'm waiting for part of my eyebrow to grow back and this product does blend really really well. I'm still using it, but every morning, I think, "Who has eyebrows this color?"

Fills in those scarce areas really well without sweating off. Goes great with brow powder too.
