You need thick hair in order for this clip to hold. I have straight medium textured hair and if it wasn't for the fact that it's long this buy would've been a total bust. If I don't wrap my hair a few times to increase its thickness, it would slip right out. I would only recommend this clip if you have very thick hair.

I LOVE this clip and carry one in my purse at all times. I really wish they came in more colors. It's annoying that you can't find flamingo clips anywhere anymore.
If you have really thin or glossy hair, it will probably slip out. Mine does occasionally when I straighten it and it is smoother and less dense. But even then, I've found a way to twist my hair so that it will hold. This clip is perfect. More colors!!
