I am comparing this to the 1" barrel curling iron of the same brand that I have used for years. That one curled perfectly, but the curls were too tight. It got hot and did a beautiful job. However, this new one is going into the trash. It does NOT get hot and it does NOT curl.

Love this curling iron!
I used to use it a lot but I broke the old one I had and then I replaced it with this one( which is the exactly same one but newer) works just as great! The one I broke belonged to my mom and she's been using it for as long as I remember. It heats up fast and shuts off on it's own.
Great investment!

On highest temperature my thick hair takes a long time to smooth and set my hair. I owned same curling iron before they changed the metal composition. Hair slips out too easily. Doubled my prep time.
