I used color 121A darkest brown. The color is true to what you would expect (pretty close to black, glistens brown in the sun). I thought it was much easier to wash out than other hair colors I have tried (in the past I have ruined towels drying my hair). This completely rinsed out the day I dyed it. My hair smelt a little like the dye for about three days/washes after I dyed it.

Having to color my own hair is not a favorite thing to do but boy does it save you money! Being 55 now my grey hair was a constant visit to the beauty shop until a stylist recommended this brand to me. I love the color and the conditioner that comes with the kit is fabulous! I use after every washing and it really helps keep the color and shine as well as keeping my hair from getting dried out. I usually color every 6weeks and I highly recommend this product over other hair color kits!

Great product! I found that the color shown on the box is more brown than the actual color - the actual color is more of a light auburn. However, I like the actual color better! It blends away my grays well and lasts about 4 weeks. It's easy to apply and rinses out easier than other hair color kits I've used.

I got this product on a whim because the one I normally used is dicontinued. I always remember growing up before my Mom recently passed - she shwore by it, so why not?!
