Comments about Hot Tools Turbo Ceramic Salon Ionic Dryer:

I love this blowdryer! I have been wanting a new one for awhile because my old one was just about to bite the dust and I decided on this one after reading the reviews. Not only do I like the design of it, but I love the way it dries my hair. The heat is not overwhelming to where it feels like it is burning, but it is enough to help dry my hair. The power of air is nice too. It works great on my thick, course hair and would highly recommend this to anyone with really thick hair because it dries mine a lot faster than most dryers!

Comments about Hot Tools Turbo Ceramic Salon Ionic Dryer:

The Pros: I really wanted to like this blow dryer. It is well priced. It reduces the time it takes for your hair to dry and you can get a pretty good blowout using this drying in addition to using products. It is light weight and easy to use when styling.

The Cons: It reduces frizz but not in a significan way. I have thick straight hair and it didnt do much to my hair even after applying product to reduce frizz and no, it is not my product, it's the dryer. While I do not want my hair to be super fried with heat, this dryer does not give enough heat if that is what you want and need to style your hair even when setting at high temp. The concentrator falls off easiy if youre not careful. But my main reason for not liking this product and why I will be returning it/exchanging is because the handle gets really hot to the point where my hand starts to burn. I do not know if this is a manufacturing problem but I will be exchanging it for a different one.

I just upgraded from an 8 year old generic hair dryer. I do see a difference in frizz and drying time. I use with a ceramic round brush and I get great results. Would purchase again.

Comments about Hot Tools Turbo Ceramic Salon Ionic Dryer:

I saw the good reviews for this dryer and purchased it b/c it was supposed to be good to help reduce damage and frizz. It did the exact opposite. My hair was HORRIBLE with this dryer. I have color treated, medium coarse hair, & live in a dry climate, and my hair was so frizzy with this you would have thought I was in a humid climate. Even with using the same products I have used for a while with my previous dyrer (not a Hot Tools) this absolutely fried my hair. I tried this for two weeks and my hair was way worse off. My hair was even better off with a much cheaper Conair model from Costco than with this one. I took this back and was recommended by an Ulta employee to get a Rusk hair dryer, & I have had instant improvement with the Rusk model from this one. I won't be going near a Hot Tools product ever again and would absolutely NOT recommend this product.

Ecuador follows the same power grid as in US (120v, 60Hz).

Ecuador also use similar plug/connector type as in US so the product will work there.

                    A:

Both of these dryers have a one year manufacturer's warranty. Both of them are ionic, however the Tourmaline Turbo Ionic dryer produces more negative ions to help dry hair quickly. That's because it does it by actively producing ions with an internal ion generator as well as passively when the tourmaline inside the dryer is heated by turning it on.

Hot Tools states that this dryer is not very loud. We recommend visiting your nearest Ulta Beauty store, where each of the dryers is on a plug/play area; there, you can turn them on and hear them in person. :-)
