      Comments about CoverGirl TruBlend Primer:

I think I have tried them all, FINALLY a primer that works with my 35+ year old combination skin. I have been using this for over a month now, and pray to the makeup angels they do not discontinue this product.
Does not settle into fine lines, keeps my oily T-zone at bay for the day and does not dry the rest of my face out. Makeup applies smoothly with no slip/skipping of product. For the price, you need to try this if you have combination skin. **Tip: apply your moisturizer wait about 1 min, then apply primer and wait another 30s-1m before applying your foundation.

        Comments about CoverGirl TruBlend Primer:

I was on the hunt for an inexpensive oily skin primer. I, personally, don't have an issue with pores or acne but I do have extremely oily skin, and I live in Florida so my oils are **ALWAYS** escaping from my foundation. This unfortunately didn't work for my skin one bit!! Don't get me wrong, it goes on light weight and smooth but for a makeup look that you want to last...this is not the primer for that. My oils break through almost 30 to an hour after I've finished my makeup. Maybe it will work better in the cooler months..but for now...Nope...

I was looking for a primer for my extremely oily skin (I'm not even exaggerating), so I thought I'd try this and don't get me wrong, this really does work. I just don't like how fast it comes out of the tube, and what I mean by that is, it drips out of the bottle on its own. Also, when I apply it, it feels like there's fuzz in it? It feels weird but it sure does work!

          Comments about CoverGirl TruBlend Primer:

I have both dry and oily skin but I wasn't a fan of the combo skin primer because it made my dry spots more dry so I decided to try this oily skin primer and I love it. I only use it on my oil areas and it very quickly gives me a matte look. I've even used it when I'm running late and don't have time to apply foundation or anything else.

          Comments about CoverGirl TruBlend Primer:

Bought the "dry skin" formula and was pleased with the results it gave me. However, the smell is awful and kind of hard to get past. It smells more like glue than anything, but definitely not the most pleasant smell first thing in the morning. Wrote to Covergirl in hopes that bringing this to their attention would improve it somehow, still holding out. For now it's in my vanity as an emergency primer, but definitely not my first choice solely because of the smell!

            Comments about CoverGirl TruBlend Primer:

I got this product when I was in between primers and needed something quick. It didn't really blow my socks off but it is sort of effective at keeping the oiliness at bay. However compared to other primers that do the same thing I just wasn't as impressed. If you have mildly oily skin this might be perfect and you can't beat the price.

              Surprised and Impressed

              By CeciM

              from TN

              Comments about CoverGirl TruBlend Primer:

I bought the combo skin one because I get oily down the center of my face, but I am normal around the rest. I typically use the Laura Geller Mattifying primer, but if I use that for too long without switching off, my skin almost "gets used to it" and it doesn't work as well. I've noticed that using a non mattifying primer gives my skin a bit of a break. I also wanted to save some money and reserve the LG primer just for the center of my face and for when I go out and want no oil. So I bought this as a cheaper alternative to some higher end non mattifying smoothing primers that I liked, although my hopes weren't super high after reading the reviews. Overall, though, I'm really liking it so far. It's not your average silicone primer, it's white, a little runny, and goes on like a moisturizer or a sunscreen, but not greasy. I have used it both by itself all over my face and in conjuction with my LG primer down the middle. It makes my foundation glide on smoothly and gives a natural finish. Not cakey or super matte, but definitely not dewy. I notice that I get a little bit of oil on and around my nose after about 4 hours, but it looks like natural skin rather than greasy oil, which is a nice contrast to other primers I've tried. On the outer planes of my face it just looks natural and velvety, considering that I don't get oil there anyway. Overall, it's true to name that it is suitable for combo skin, and it's great for days that I prefer to have a more natural look and let my skin shine through without looking shiny! Best drugstore primer I've tried so far!

I use this product every day. I live in Florida, where sweating happens almost the moment you step out the door. So, having oily skin, it makes it tough to not look completely shiny after an hour or too. This has helped a lot!! This allows me to make it most of the day without looking greasy. Also, I haven't had any extra breakouts unlike with other primers!!! That's a huge plus in my book!
