This blow dryer is powerful and great for the price. I have a lot of hair and it dries it quickly. Just what I was looking for. Although, I may need to get a heat protectant now!

Comments about Hot Tools Tourmaline Tools 3000 Ionic Salon Dryer:

My dryer died all the sudden and resorted to my travel dryer. After a week, my husband convinced me to get a new hair dryer. Ulta has so many to pick from and even from testing them I couldn't tell much difference. Went with one that said for thick hair and fast drying. After using it the first time, I could see a huge difference. My hair feels so soft and smooth. I have a short bob hair cut and my hair just falls in to place even with blow drying it upside down. I can use the medium heat and the highest fan setting and it dries in less than 5 minutes. Mind you, even with a bob I have a lot of thick hair! Definitely would recommend this hair dryer.

I purchased this dryer and it slowed down and lost its blowing power within 4 weeks. Took it back and got another only to have the same results. I have average straight hair and use the dryer about 2 or three times a week. Never again will I buy anything Hot Tools! Junk!

Comments about Hot Tools Tourmaline Tools 3000 Ionic Salon Dryer:

I use this product primarily for the diffuser it came with! It's wonderful at turning my thin, fine and flat curly hair into a voluminous and very curly head of hair!! I have used the other attachment to straighten my sister's wavy, thick hair and it came out gorgeous! I like how powerful it is and the multiple heat and fan settings! It makes it easier to customize for your own head of hair! It doesn't have that horrible high pitched blow dryer sound like cheap hair dryers have, so it's great! It's more of a deep and powerful sound. Also my hair doesn't look frizzy after using it which is hard for me to get since my hair is thin and dry, so that's a plus!

Comments about Hot Tools Tourmaline Tools 3000 Ionic Salon Dryer:

I LOVE this blow dryer so far!!! I compare cheaper (Revlon, Conair, etc) brands and this one like hand dryers in bathrooms... the old school hand dryers blow out slow and hot - that's what all my cheaper brand hair dryers do--- I could sometimes see my hair smoking from how high if heat they blew out. The new upgraded hand dryers in bathrooms don't blow out scorching heat but they have Power that makes them dry fast. This blow dryer blows out a sufficient amount of heat but the power behind how it blows out is what really makes it work well & fast!!! My husband even commented on how much quieter it was compared to my old cheap Revlon one!

My second of these dryers just died on me, again, so I went to check reviews and see if I'm the only one- nope! Stopped working in the middle of blow drying, no noise or spark, and won't turn on again. Just another user who did like this dryer when it worked, but they're not made to last at all. Two of these in about two years; the first one Ulta generously replaced, but now I know it's just this dryer. I'll be switching to a more reliable brand.

The Hot Tools Tourmaline Tools 3000 dryer gave me the worst blow-dry of my life. My hair is medium thick, probably about as much as the next person: not thin, not thick. It is naturally wavy. When I air dry or blow dry my hair with non-ionic dryers, my hair maintains beach waves. I only straighten it 2-3 times a year. Well, this dryer—even while using the diffuser—left my hair limp and straight. Sure, it was smooth, but it had no curl, volume, or personality to it after this dryer got near my head. I get more volume from air-drying it, but I'm NOT going to air-dry my hair in the winter, so I need to keep hunting for a normal dryer, which are impossible to find these days. Hair dryer manufacturers are doing a stupid thing by making ALL dryers ionic, because not ALL people want their hair to look the same, for Pete's sake. The diffuser itself is terrible, and the "High" setting is horribly loud.

Despite the buzz about ionic hair dryers, they are absolutely NOT right for all hair types. The Hot Tools Tourmaline Tools 3000 dryer gave me the worst blow dry of my life. My hair is about medium thickness: not thin, not thick, but satisfactory. It is naturally beach wavy. Somehow, even with the diffuser, this dryer left my hair limp and straight, which would have been fine on a day that I WANTED to wear my hair straight; however, I only like to wear my hair straight about 2-3 times a year. If I air dry my hair or use an old-fashioned non-ionic dryer (which are impossible to find these days), then my hair maintains a nice wave and natural volume. I was shocked at how limp my hair was after using this blow dryer. After 20 minutes, my hair wasn't even dry, and when I tested the "High" setting briefly, it was terribly loud. Hot Tools needs to go back to making non-ionic options for dryers. We don't all want stick-straight hair, for Pete's sake. This awful thing literally took all the personality out of my hair.
