I followed the directions and after I cleansed my skin, put on some toner, and moisturized my skin. My skin felt incredibly soft and supple and was amazed! Will definitely look into more products from Boots No7

                    A:

The Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion helps to remove the dead damaged cells at the surface of your skin quickly, to allow newer cells to emerge. However, it has no ingredients to help fade hyperpigmentation. In order to address uneven pigmentation from acne, you may want to try No7's Lift & Luminate Concentrated Dark Spot Serum. We have heard from other consumers that the Dark Spot serum has helped fade their acne spots, however it is not clinically proven to do so. This is clinically proven to fade age spots by using our highest levels of lightening technology. This is a spot treatment that you use directly on your areas of concern, not over your entire face, morning and evening after your serum and before your day/night cream. One thing that's great about this serum is that it is not a skin bleach, but works to break up the damage that leads to hyper pigmentation and regulate healthy cell production.

Can this be used with a facial cleansing system like Clarisonic etc.?

                    A:

Yes, Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion can follow your cleansing step when you've used the Clarisonic with your cleanser. Since you only have one face and we want to help you take the best care of it, here are a few things to keep in mind: When applying the Micro-dermabrasion after you've cleansed, you want to let the particles do their job without a lot of pressure from your fingers. Try to be gentle enough that your skin doesn't move as you glide the particles around your face. Also, you don't want to use your Clarisonic at the same time the Micro-dermabrasion is on your skin. This is too aggressive for the delicate skin on your face. Instead, keep your Clarisonic for use with your cleanser, use your fingertips for the Micro-dermabrasion, and your skin will thank you for it!

                    A:

This product is not considered a cleanser, but rather an exfoliator. It is gentle yet very effective. Exfoliation is very important and one of the best things you can do to keep your skin looking youthful and radiant, but you don't want to over do it, so this is why twice a week is what we recommended.
Always make sure you cleanse before using as you would not want to rub into your skin any make up or dirt that may be on your skin.
As for a cleanser, we offer several, based on your skin type and needs. Check out the No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansers! Do let us know if we may be of further assistance!

What is the difference between Micro-dermabrasion products and if I use an exfoliating scrub like St. Ives Apricot scrub?

                    A:

Both this product and St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub (Item #: 5021998) feature non-irritating formulas for all skin types and are dermatologist-tested. Boots No7 Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion has undergone extra testing to be claimed hypoallergenic, so even those with the most sensitive skin can use it.

Boots No7 Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion employs aluminum-oxide crystals as the physical exfoliating agent in its formula, which is the same material used by dermatologists in professional microdermabrasion treatments. The physical exfoliating agent in St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub (Item #: 5021998) is all natural Walnut Shell Powder.

Unlike St. Ives, Boots boasts proven results. Within 4 treatments, this product visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines, evens skin tone and helps work against the appearance of dark areas. It can also help to improve the appearance of blemish-prone skin.

We hope this extra info helps! We definitely recommend reading the ratings and reviews for both products at ULTA.com! :-)

                    A:

This product does not serve as a facial wash. It is a twice weekly exfoliating treatment to be used after cleansing. We do not recommend using with a cleanser that is formulated with any physically or chemically exfoliating ingredients (such as particles, AHAs like glycolic acid, BHAs like salicylic acid, etc.), as this could cause over-exfoliation and irritation of the skin.
