I always hesitant to try new products but the first time I tried this product I was obsessed. Not only is there only a few ingredients, but it made so smooth and soft with out irritating my sensitive skin. After moisturizing my make up went on smoother too. I now use it once or twice a week to keep my face feeling smooth and looking fresh.

Have been using a herbal exfoliant which I buy online. I ran out so needed something until my Internet order arrived. No 7 to the rescue, and on sale. Have used the eye cream and love it so why not try the exfoliant. So glad I did. I have been using it daily for about a week and my skin has never been softer or smoother. It also appears brighter. Can't wait to see the results after a month or so. Will definitely be my #1 exfoliant now.

Great question. The aluminum oxide crystals in Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion stay in tact as you scrub your skin; they do not dissolve like salt or sugar. Enjoy!

                      A:

Thank you for reaching out! Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion does not contain ingredients that fade dark spots or acne scars. Some people do experience their dark spots or acne scars fading more quickly because this is a powerful scrub that is moving off dead, damaged cells at the surface of the skin so that the newer, fresher cells come forward and the skincare products can reach those cells more effectively. We hope this is helpful information for you!

                      A:

The Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion helps to remove dead and damaged cells at the surface of your skin, allowing newer cells to emerge which can help with the look of scars so you're on the right track! You didn't mention which type of acne scarring you have, so we're sharing tips for both discoloration and indentations from acne, depending on how much repair you'd like and what you need. To help with slight indentations we recommend adding No7 Protect & Perfect Advanced Serum into your skincare regimen. This clinically proven serum has a powerful firming complex and patented antioxidant complex that work to restore firmness and prevent future damage. It also contains salicylic acid in low levels to help keep pores clear. The reason we're recommending this serum for you is that some customers have noticed that using a serum that helps firm the skin, like this one, actually helps repair the damage underneath their acne indentations and the "pit" scars start to improve. Please know that acne scars improving were not part of our clinical trial so this is not a guarantee, but we're sharing some real-life feedback from customers in the hopes that you benefit from it. If you're looking to address discoloration from acne, Lift & Luminate Concentrated Dark Spot Serum may be very helpful for you. This is a spot treatment (not for the entire face) that is clinically proven to fade age spots, but some customers with pigmentation concerns from acne have found this beneficial for them. We hope this is helpful information for you!

                      A:

The Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion helps to remove the dead damaged cells at the surface of your skin quickly, to allow newer cells to emerge. However, it has no ingredients to help fade hyperpigmentation. In order to address uneven pigmentation from acne, you may want to try No7's Lift & Luminate Concentrated Dark Spot Serum. We have heard from other consumers that the Dark Spot serum has helped fade their acne spots, however it is not clinically proven to do so. This is clinically proven to fade age spots by using our highest levels of lightening technology. This is a spot treatment that you use directly on your areas of concern, not over your entire face, morning and evening after your serum and before your day/night cream. One thing that's great about this serum is that it is not a skin bleach, but works to break up the damage that leads to hyper pigmentation and regulate healthy cell production.

                      A:

Yes, Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion can follow your cleansing step when you've used the Clarisonic with your cleanser. Since you only have one face and we want to help you take the best care of it, here are a few things to keep in mind: When applying the Micro-dermabrasion after you've cleansed, you want to let the particles do their job without a lot of pressure from your fingers. Try to be gentle enough that your skin doesn't move as you glide the particles around your face. Also, you don't want to use your Clarisonic at the same time the Micro-dermabrasion is on your skin. This is too aggressive for the delicate skin on your face. Instead, keep your Clarisonic for use with your cleanser, use your fingertips for the Micro-dermabrasion, and your skin will thank you for it!

                      A:

This product is not considered a cleanser, but rather an exfoliator. It is gentle yet very effective. Exfoliation is very important and one of the best things you can do to keep your skin looking youthful and radiant, but you don't want to over do it, so this is why twice a week is what we recommended.
Always make sure you cleanse before using as you would not want to rub into your skin any make up or dirt that may be on your skin.
As for a cleanser, we offer several, based on your skin type and needs. Check out the No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansers! Do let us know if we may be of further assistance!

What is the difference between Micro-dermabrasion products and if I use an exfoliating scrub like St. Ives Apricot scrub?

                      A:

Both this product and St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub (Item #: 5021998) feature non-irritating formulas for all skin types and are dermatologist-tested. Boots No7 Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion has undergone extra testing to be claimed hypoallergenic, so even those with the most sensitive skin can use it.

Boots No7 Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion employs aluminum-oxide crystals as the physical exfoliating agent in its formula, which is the same material used by dermatologists in professional microdermabrasion treatments. The physical exfoliating agent in St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub (Item #: 5021998) is all natural Walnut Shell Powder.

Unlike St. Ives, Boots boasts proven results. Within 4 treatments, this product visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines, evens skin tone and helps work against the appearance of dark areas. It can also help to improve the appearance of blemish-prone skin.

We hope this extra info helps! We definitely recommend reading the ratings and reviews for both products at ULTA.com! :-)
