Comments about Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Oil:

Followed bottle directions -- made a big mess. Applied product to cotton swab first: took numerous pads to remove most of makeup but residue remained (and I only wear liquid -- nothing else!). Applying product to cotton swab wasted a lot of product. I much prefer s foaming cleanser or cleansing towelette.

This is a great cleansing oil. It takes off all of my makeup, and it's thin and doesn't make my skin feel oily or gross after rinsing, just super soft! It definitely is on the pricier end (for myself at least), but I think i will purchase again after I run out.

I LOVE clinique stuff but i don't really like the cleansing oil because i have oily skin and oils aren't very good for me. I decided to try it and i didn't like it. It took of my mascara ok and took long and i HATED how my face felt after. I had to wash my face just so it wouldn't feel goopy and gross.

                    Make up remover

                    By Lil

                    from USA

Comments about Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Oil:

It removes the makeup. I used wet cloth to wipe off and then rinse it. Then wash with a facial soap. This left skin smooth. My skin got itchy, but I am not sure if this makeup removing oil is making my skin break out and itchy or the other new product.

The product came leaking in the shipping box. The leaked product got on to the other product boxes that were shipped together in the same box. This incident also suggests that the product in current packaging is not very good for taking it for travel because it may leak in the luggage. It may need a different top/cap or good safety seal to prevent leakage during shipping.

My main concern is blackheads, primarily on my nose. I get an oily t-zone, mainly the nose. And dry cheeks. Is this a good product to use as a cleanser on it's own, or should I use this as a precleanse step before using a normal foaming cleanser? Also, is this product good for combination skin?

Hi! Yes, this product is great for all skin types. It is a make up solvent, so I suggest using it as a pre soap cleanser to break down pigments in your makeup. It dissolves makeup beautifully on skin! Thank you for your question!
