Really loved this product. The fact that it makes my hair feel silky and smooth is a plus not very many of the products that I have tried have done that. The more I use this product the better my hair feels. I can't wait to see how it moves and looks in the summer.

Comments about DevaCurl SuperCream Coconut Curl Styler:

Wow. I have curly, frizzy hair that does whatever it wants. I always tell people how I've given up trying to do anything to my hair because it always looks like I just got out of bed anyway. I've tried soooooo many products. From cheap to expensive, nothing stuck, I would continuously look for something better. I always read the great reviews on deva curl but being that I KNOW I need more than one product it looked like it would just be too expensive to convert to deva curl. But then a friend of mine who has wavy hair told me how she was using it and loved it and I thought her hair was looking good so I decided to just go for it. I bought a travel size kit to try the products and that was it, I'm done searching for something better. Now the kit originally brought the regular styling cream and it was good, good enough to make me not want to try anything else, however I was curious about this coconut supercream. Some reviews made me think it was heavier and maybe made for thicker coarser hair but again, I just went for it. Oh man, this is what I've been looking for all my life! It's not heavy yet styles my hair perfectly AND it's not sticky like the regular styling cream. My hair always looks dry and this makes my hair look HEALTHY. Not at all greasy. And it defines my curls nicely. I didn't know that was possible with my head of hair. This one product replaces the use of like 2 or 3 others I used to need. This is creamier compared to the regular styling cream which is "waterier" so this is more moisturizing. I absolutely love it :)

I have hair that is between straight-wavy and have been looking for a curl enhancer that would push my hair to the 'wavy' end of the spectrum, since I am trying to decrease how often I straighten or otherwise use heat on my hair. This stuff is amazing! It gives my hair a beach wave look with minimal (read: none) styling on my end. I use it after showering either before bed or in the morning and let it air dry. Smells great too.

What is different from this product than the regular styler? I haven't relaxed my hair in about 6 years, already got a Deva cut, and have lots of different textures between 3b3c4a. Which one would you recommend the regular or the supercream?

Even though there is Coconut Oil infused in SuperCream, it is water soluble! The Coconut Oil in SuperCream is emulsified to provide the great conditioning benefits of Coconut Oil without the buildup – that's because instead of sitting on top of the hair, SuperCream is absorbed by the hair. There is no wax in our products.

Hi. I have fine, 3b curly hair, low porosity, med - heavy density. I followed the SuperCream instructions for fine hair by smoothing the cream over my hair (2 pumps) rather than through it, then raked Ultra Defining Gel through my hair. I did this while still in the shower. The result is super frizzy hair. Should I try raking the cream through my hair? Applying additional pumps of SuperCream over my hair? Using a harder hold gel like ArcAngel?

Hi Mjk, I know we can't speak directly here, so I am hoping you are first applying No-Poo and One Condition Decadence for best results with Supercream. I would say, since you are getting mega-frizz when you apply it in wet hair, instead try in damp hair, 1 pump into your palms, emulsify with water then apply. See how that works. Try it by itself one time. Another time, try following with Gel. Ultra would be the firm hold gel for you, yes. Arc AnGel is also a firm hold gel -- it gives your curls a different look, but it has the same hold. I would try the damp hair trick first. And be sure to start with NP/OC.

I currently use the original deva styling cream and love it. But started using the conditioner from this line and like it better than the original deva one conditioner so I'm wondering what is the difference between devas 2 creams? I have thick 3b curls that love moisture.

So the Original line is great for curly and delivering essential moisture. I think you are using Styling Cream but want to switch to SuperCream? Decadence is designed for super curly hair and delivers ultra moisture. It depends on your moisture level, hold needs, styling desires and curl type as to which will be better for you. The best advice I can give without seeing your curls is to try the SuperCream. You can always use it just once a week, and use Styling Cream the rest of the week. It's fun to switch it up. Right?

                    • Q:

I have very tight curly, fine, short hair and I regularly use the No-Poo Decadence, followed by a little One Condition left in (about 20%) and then the light defining gel. This seems to work well enough. With my hair less tends to be more. I was recently introduced to the One Condition Decadence and the SuperCream by my stylist. As instructed, I used No-Poo Decadence, followed by One Condition Decadence which I rinsed out completely, with a small amount (Nickel) of SuperCream applied in the shower, finished with the normal one pump of gel per side. I had a frizzy mess for the rest of the day. What do you think went wrong? The One Condition Decadence being too heavy for my fine hair, or the fact that I didn't leave it in at all; the SuperCream; or the application of any or all of it? I'd really like the Decadence line to work for me as the curls in the ads fit my pattern exactly, and the No-Poo Decadence has been great, I just can't seem to get the stylers to work. Help!

Wow, interesting. I would suggest much less supercream so you can use your usual amount of gel, which was working. Another thing that was working was the leaving in of One Condition. I agree with all you were doing previously and all your stylist instructed. Everything is perfect on paper. But since your hair didn't respond as planned, now you must do micro adjustments to find the right formula. Try leaving in the same amount of One Condtion, use much less SC, then gel. OR mix 1 pump of SC with your usual amount of gel, emulsify with a touch of water and rake on. Try all these ideas on separate days and evaluate which you like best. Good luck. Stay in touch!

I have caucasisn 3c long hair and I use your low poo, original conditioner and angel gel. As well as my own cocktail of leave ins. What leave in product would work best and in what order? Also, am I using the gel wrong as my primary styler? It leaves my hair a bit dry? Should I style with a cream instead? I didn't like boy out new coconut line; it just didn't condition well enough and irritated my super sensitive skin. Suggestions for the bare minimum of products and the order in which I should use them? Thank you, Deva is the best!

As well as "your own cocktail of leave-ins"... Would like to know what these are. Deva doesn't exactly play well with others. If you are finding the gel on its own a bit dry, I would recommend Supercream or Styling Cream first applied in soaking wet hair in the shower, followed by Arc for extra hold and to control frizz. I think you'll like this combo.

I have 3b type curls, what devacurl products would you recommend and in what order so my hair can be voluminous and moisturized!?

Hi there, as always a live consultation with a Deva Stylist is best (use our stylist finder on the devacurl website by typing in your zip and reading the reviews). Without seeing a photo, I would recommend our Curls Up Combs Down kit for wavy/curly. It has Original No-Poo/One Condition which I believe would be the ideal moisture level for you. As well as Styling Cream (apply first in soaking wet hair in the shower) and Gel (apply after in soaking wet hair in the shower to control frizz). Scrunch to form curls, scrunch with a DevaTowel, then don't touch until completely dry. Then scrunch again to break the gel cast.
