Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Face Lotion

Item #: 2267201 Size: 2.5 oz

High performance, water resistant sunscreen, isuitable for all skin types, CeraVe Sunscreen is perfect for daily use on even the most sensitive skin.

Developed with dermatologists, CeraVe Sunscreen for Face is like no other sunscreen you've ever experienced. Enjoy powerful protection from the same zinc oxide trusted by lifeguards and dermatologists, now in a new lightweight formula that spreads easily and dries with a clear finish.

  • Ceramides help repair and restore the protective skin barrier.
  • Niacinamide helps the skin produce more natural ceramides and fatty acids essential for repairing and restoring the skin barrier. May also reduce skin redness.
  • Hyaluronic acid attracts moisture to the top layer of the skin.
  • High performance, water resistant sunscreen, suitable for all skin types, CeraVe Sunscreen is perfect for daily use on even the most sensitive skin.

Invisible Zinc technology uses a revolutionary naturally sourced micro-fine zinc oxide to deliver its unique dry, clear finish for powerful protection from the sun¿s damaging rays.

Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure.

Reapply:
  • After 40 minutes of swimming or sweating
  • Immediately after towel drying
  • At least every 2 hours
  • Children under 6 months: Ask a doctor

Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including:
  • Limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
  • Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses.

Comments about CeraVe Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Face Lotion:

So happy to see Ulta carry this product in their stores. I am allergic to regular sunscreen, so finding Cerave with zinc oxide and titanium oxide for face and body was a highlight of the summer sunny season! Very reasonably priced when compared to many other brands.

A go-to affordable mineral sunscreen for face and hands

Comments about CeraVe Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Face Lotion:

I prefer mineral sunscreens for my face and hands. I wear sunscreen year round. Most chemical sunscreens seem to discolor my clothing, and I'm never sure how many hours they remain effective. I've had good luck with mineral sunscreens preventing sun burn for longer time periods, and I believe they may be safer for daily use.

I use Cerave's Invisible Zinc on my hands, throat, ears, and around the edges of my face. On the center of my face I use a tinted mineral sunscreen like IT Cosmetics CC Cream, Hydropeptide, Elta, or other expensive ones.

I've repurchased Cerave a few times now and will stock up whenever there's any kind of sale. The price is reasonable; the formula doesn't cause my occasionally acne prone combination skin to break out; and the protection seems to last very well. There's no fancy scent or gimmick, which suits me perfectly. I love that the basic protection is so straightforward.

I have occasionally blended Cerave with a drop of my foundation or IT Cosmetics CC cream for a my-skin-but-better look. It works just fine.

Comments about CeraVe Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Face Lotion:

I must have had some kind of reaction. Which is weird cause I have never experience this with any other products I have used. My cheeks got the worst of it! The next morning I woke up to red, swollen, and burning cheeks. I was not able to wear anything on my face including a moisturizer for the next three days. It was horrible! I will never buy Cerave again.

I have a darker skin tone and most sun screens look ashy on me, but this one blended in great and its worth the price.

Great sunscreen! I use this with or without makeup. I have my boyfriend use it and his skin is much different from me. My acne doesn't feel irritated and at the end of the night my skin feels so protected and hydrated. I feel like it don't need to reapply it as often as sunscreen instruct.

Comments about CeraVe Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Face Lotion:

I bought this while trying to find a cheaper alternative to my holy grail sunscreen. I looked up reviews ingredients beforehand and had high hopes but this definitely did NOT come close. This left a major white cast, especially for something that claims to have "invisible zinc." It always gets stuck in my eyebrows, along my hair line, and usually a few other random spots and leaves whiter spots than the rest of my face (which is still pretty white from this stuff). I'll try to go back and rub it in but if you don't catch the spots you missed in your eyebrows and hair ASAP it gets kinda stuck. Also to be able to rub it in well enough to not have white splotches it starts peeling off your face and balling up before it can fully rub in. Even if you get it rubbed in without any of these issues, wait plenty of time to let it settle (like 30 minutes), then it still will ball up when applying foundation. Other than that this stuff is fine. I use it for off days if I'm just staying home, running errands, working out, etc, but when I need to look decent or wear makeup on top of it I have to wear something else. DEFINITELY don't wear this if you'll be in pictures.

I've used this for several years as it is one of the few physical/mineral based sunscreens that Ulta carries. I am allergic to chemical/lab created sunscreens and this contains none of them. It may feel a bit heavy when you first start using it as most mineral sunscreens do but that feeling did not last long for me. Ulta needs to keep this & the mineral SPF 50 in all it's stores all the time.
