Comments about Real Techniques Stippling Brush:

Since I've gotten older, my pores are much larger and my foundation seems to pool in them which makes them even more apparent. I've tried MANY foundations varying in costs, none would solve this issue. I watched online a tutorial on using a makeup brush in circular motion after applying the foundation. The brushes I had purchased either did nothing or bristles fell out. This brush though worked GREAT!! My pores look smaller and remove all the foundation which settled in my pores! IT REALLY WORKS!!

Comments about Real Techniques Stippling Brush:

This brush is so soft and great for blending out liquid foundation. It can make thick, matte foundations look a little on the cakier side, so I usually use a beauty blender for those, but otherwise it does a great job at a good price. Works well for concealer too!

                            Hi Michelle,

Yes, this brush is great for creams, actually, The more loosely packed bristles allow for more application of the heavier creams on your face. You will just need to make sure you wash your brush every couple of days so it doesn't get caked with the heavier lotions.

                            Thanks!

                            Hi LEV,

I actually use the Confidence in a Compact product and I prefer a brush with a denser head than the stippling brush. There are two that I would recommend:

                            1) The one that I use comes in this Flawless Base Kit (http://www.ulta.com/flawless-base-set?productId=xlsImpprod15361243). It's the one with the largest brush head and is called the Buffing Brush. I find it's just perfect for this compact.

                            2) The other single brush you could use is our Expert Face brush. This is our best selling brush and it is amazing. But personally, I like the slightly longer bristles on the Buffing Brush. The Expert Face brush is found here: http://www.ulta.com/expert-face-brush?productId=xlsImpprod4260015

                            Thanks!

I tend to like this brush with products that aren't very liquidy (like mousses or pressed liquids). For something that's very liquid, I love our Buffing Brush that's in our Core Collection kit. You also can use our Expert Face Brush, which is a huge fan favorite.

                            Thanks!

                            A:

                            Hi Ken,

This brush is perfect for a more natural look; the cut and form of the bristles allow for less product to be applied to your face, leaving you with with what we call a "feathery finish".

If you're looking for a bit more coverage, I would recommend one of two brushes: my personal favorite comes in one of our brush sets (the Core Collection) and it's called the buffing brush (http://www.ulta.com/core-collection-brush-set?productId=xlsImpprod3220069). The Buffing Brush is the brush with the largest head on it. Its bristles are densely packed and cut a bit blunt to give you fantastic overall coverage. I have used this brush with many different foundation types and it handles all of them beautifully.

There is also a single brush called the Expert Face Brush (http://www.ulta.com/expert-face-brush?productId=xlsImpprod4260015) that is similar to the Buffing Brush, but whose bristles aren't quite as long. This is one of our best selling brushes and would likely do a great job for you!

                            Thanks!

                            Hi Senegence,

All of our Real Techniques and EcoTools brushes are made with synthetic bristles. Natural hair bristles are definitely getting tougher to find, but we do make a line called Studio Basics that are made from natural hair. You can find our selection on Ulta.com by searching the brand name.

                            Thanks!

                            Hi Emmsteiin,

Great question! The nice thing about the Stippling brush is its cut and design make it a good multi-tasking brush for all sorts of product types. For me personally, though, I tend to like to use cream products better with the Stippling Brush, rather than powder. Overall, I feel like the dual fiber cuts lend themselves a little better for pickup and application of cream.

                            Thanks so much!

Hi! So I'm wondering if this brush would be good for when you contour and need to blend it in? I tried contouring for the first time the other day and my brush was made for applying it, but I couldn't blend it in with the rest of my face and I had literal lines from the bronzer! So I was wondering if this brush would help that problem! Or if you could point me in the direction of a brush that would? I've heard amazing things about this brand and would like to stick with it!
                          Thanks!!!

                            Hi Saracitabonita,

Thanks so much for being such a loyal fan!! We love that - and we love people like you! :)

I actually have the perfect brush recommendation for you: we have a Real Techniques Sculpting Brush that is literally made for the problem you're describing of having lines from your bronzer.

On Ulta's website, it's Item # 2283194 and I love this brush not only for contouring, but I sometimes use it for blush or foundation. It has an angled cut, which is ideal for following the contours of your face, and denser bristles, which is what you really need for blending products like this.

We also have a Sculpting Kit by Real Techniques which is only available at Ulta this year. It's Item #2285291. That comes with the Sculpting Brush that I just told you about, but also our Fan Brush (which you can't get on its own) and a Setting Brush.

I do love the Stippling Brush, but it's better for foundation, BB/CC creams, etc than sculpting and contouring.

                            Hope that helps!
