If you don't want the cost or 2 week commitment of a salon gel manicure, this is a good alternative. The biggest plus is the fast dry time. I cook a lot and get 2-3 days out of this manicure - better than standard polish for me. The brush is refined and I can get nearly professional results at home. Girlfriends going to the salon are jealous. Light, creme colors may need 3 coats. Get the top coat. This is the only polish I buy now.

Comments about Orly Step1: Epix Flexible Color Nail Lacquer:

Horrible in every area. From the shelf, it's impossible to tell what color the polish is, because the bottle isn't transparent. I opened the bottle in the store to try to get a better idea, but this was kind of a hassle when trying to see multiple colors. I decided to purchase a bottle anyway, since I do have an issue with polish smudging before they are totally dry.

When I went to actually paint my nails, things got even worse. Have you ever tried to paint your nails with a bottle of polish that was kind of old, and it was really thick and goopy and difficult to apply? Have you ever experienced this with a brand new bottle of polish?? I have - with this product. SO disappointing. Never again.

I love how the color is opaqued when you apply your second coat! This nail polish shines so well! Since I'm hard on my nails my polish lasted over a week with the exception of my pointer fingers. Which is not bad in my case. Every where I go get so many compliments!

Comments about Orly Step1: Epix Flexible Color Nail Lacquer:

I'm really hard on my hands, so polish rarely stays chip-free on me for longer than a day. This is the only stuff I've found that can make it more than 3 days on me. I love it! Plus, it dries so fast I'm less likely to smudge it. The only catch is you MUST use the matching top coat. It won't set properly or look as good without it. But the top coat makes my nails look like they've been professionally done and smooths any smudges.
