Comments about Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Make-Up Primer:

I have never used a primer before. Laura Geller had a promotion and a clerk suggested I try the Geller package they had. I am so glad a did. I realized what I had missed the first 63 years of my life! The primer is smooth and really sets up your skin for the make up to be added. I love this product.

I feel like I should use more of it, it's not super clear, it has a shimmer which is great. I don't know if it's my imagination or what, but I feel like its a bit thick.

Comments about Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Make-Up Primer:

I was a fan of the original Spackle so when I got this on sale, I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, it's way too shimmery. They're large pieces of sparkle that aren't tamed by foundation or powder. I can't wear this every day because my face looks like a disco ball, instead of evenly toned and bright. The shimmer even comes off on my hands and gets everywhere!!! Additionally, it dries really fast and is hard to apply evenly. I am going to be giving this away. There are too many other good primers out there to waste my time with this one.

Comments about Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Make-Up Primer:

I was expecting something to give me a little coverage out of this primer, but I got absolutely none. It accentuated the texture on my face and made it look shiny, and changed the texture of my foundation. It did keep my makeup on all day, but I got a lot less coverage than I needed. I don't understand the tinted part at all, I got absolutely no pigmentation out of this.

                • Q:

My skin tone is extremely fair (and cool-leaning neutral) and I've had the problem with primers occasionally being too dark and/or warm for me. In Laura Geller products, the shade "porcelain" in the balance and brighten powder foundation is my best match. Which shade would be recommended?

                    A:

Most of our primers apply onto the skin very sheer. Even the tinted ones have very little color and won't change the tone of the skin. The only one I would stay away from is the Treatmenr Primer- Spackle Even Tone. This one has a golden hue and looks much darker than the rest. Other than that, none of them will deepen your skin tone. Enjoy!

Does this primer have glitters? Or is it just a shimmer without glitters like the becca backlight primer?

                    A:

The Etherial is the most similar to the backlight primer. This delivers a slight iridescence with a pearly glow. The champagne has very tiny flakes of glitter. They are there, yet they are subtle enough and suitable for any look. Both will add a natural looking radiance and youthful luminosity to the complexion. Enjoy!

All Spackle shades are suitable for all skin tones and all shades! They are all very sheer so no matter what you choose, it will work. I would choose your Spackle depending on a skincare concern. For instance, if you have dry skin, choose the Spackle Hydrating. Enjoy!

                    A:

It simply depends on what type of coverage you desire. If you want something sheer, which means you can still see some skin show through, you can use your Spackle and and just the tinted powder. If you want more coverage, I would recommend using the Spackle, a liquid foundation, and then your tinted powder as a finishing powder. It is completely up to you- there is no wrong way to do it!

Tinted Spackle has items like aloe vera and chamomile that are very good for your skin, and Spackle Supercharged contains an extra boost of skincare ingredients. It contains something called Resveratrol which is an anti-aging anti-oxidant. This is the Spackle that I recommend to clients who have anti-aging concerns.

They have botanicals like Alor Vera to cool and refresh skin, Chamomile to calm and soothe, and White Tea and Centella Asiatica which are antioxidants that help protect skin against free radical damage.
