Comments about Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Make-Up Primer:

Got this in the Laura Geller "So Scrumptious" set. The first drop I squeezed out of the tube was yellow oily liquid. This doesn't do anything that it promises. They say that you can wear it on it's own but I would never do it. It only enhances skin issues in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

I bought this through a half-off sale. I was lured in by all the comments about how young it made people look. What a waste of money. The only thing this product did was add a slightly "glittery" look. I could have just as easily achieve that with a highlighting blush or powder. As far as all the other promises about evening out complexion, I didn't see that. I have always used Revlon Color-stay foundation. Which is awesome if you want your makeup to stay put all day. Maybe it is so great that I didn't actually need a primer. All I can say is this offered no discernible benefits beyond sparkle.

                    Not the primer for me

                    By Jenny

                    from New Hampshire

Comments about Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Make-Up Primer:

I really wanted to like this primer, but it didn't work for me. I was looking for a luminous, dewy finish. Instead, I was left with a more glittery look, which my foundation dulled down, but I definitely would not wear this alone. Additionally, as a primer it failed me. I do not have oily skin, but after using this primer and various foundations and powders over it, I was consistently left with an oil slick in my T-zone and my makeup sliding off. It has a different texture than other primers I've used. It dries sort of sticky or tacky. I'm used to primers having a more silky feel, or at the very least drying without leaving my face feeling like it'd covered in a thin layer of glue. You get a lot of product for your money, so it's a great value if shimmer is what you're into. It just didn't perform how I hoped. I will probably use it as a body highlighter so it doesn't go to waste.

Tinted Spackle has items like aloe vera and chamomile that are very good for your skin, and Spackle Supercharged contains an extra boost of skincare ingredients. It contains something called Resveratrol which is an anti-aging anti-oxidant. This is the Spackle that I recommend to clients who have anti-aging concerns.

Our Spackles are suitable or all skin tones! If your skin tone is deep, you can pretty much wear any of the Spackles. The ones that I would not recommend is the Neutralizer- this can tend to make deeper skin look a little dull or ashy. The mattifying Spackle is also a little tricky on deeper skin tones. You can use it, but less is more! Too much will also give the skin that dull look. I would recommend trying our Original, Champagne, Bronze, Supercharged, or Hydrating. Hope this helps!

                              A:

This product will not cover any skin imperfections such as redness, uneven skintone, or blemishes. It will add a slight warm glow, which is perfect for a beach day or just running out on a casual day. I would not replace it for foundation if you are looking to cover up any of the skin imperfections listed above. If you wanted something light weight for the summer, try Laura Geller's BB cream. It'll still provide coverage, yet it's extremely lightweight so it doesn't look or feel like any makeup is on. It also had SPF 21- perfect for the hot summer days. You can use the Spackle under any product. And if you choose to wear the Spackle on it's own, again it will add some gorgeous warmth to the skin, but it will not cover. Enjoy!

I want to wear this under my makeup so I'm looking for a product that helps my makeup application easier and also provides a bit of a glow due to my aging skin.

Laura Geller tinted Spackles will leave the skin with a somewhat dewy finish. They give the skin a natural looking luminosity, a healthy radiance, and what we like to call a "lit from within" glow. They will help with oil control because they create a barrier between your skin and whatever makeup you put on top... So basically, that barrier will help prevent the oil from seeping through the surface. If you are looking for a primer with a matte finish, we would recommend Spackle in Original, Neutralizer, or Supercharged. Those Spackles do not have a radiance.

Can you tell me the difference between the champagne and the ethereal colors? Is the bronze primer a sheer color? Would it be too dark for lighter skin or would it blend in?

                              A:

Ethereal features a brightening, pearlescent pink finish, while Champagne features a shimmering, champagne glow finish.

All shades including Bronze apply very sheerly and are suitable for all complexions.
