Whoever designed this iron should be fired!

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

I just bought this flat iron today but I will be returning it tomorrow. Whoever designed this iron should be fired! The on/off button and heat setting buttons are right where you grasp your hand...which means you are constantly turning the iron off and changing the heat settings as you are trying to fix your hair! Beyond frustrating!

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

The construction of this flat iron is terribly frustrating! There is an on/off selection and a [+] and [-] selection to choose temperature. It isn't like a typical button but a long purple strip that either doesn't respond no matter how much you try to click it or it is ultra sensitive and changes the temperatures on you as you attempt to style your hair. I selected this flat iron because the buttons aren't on the interior of the wand. Apparently, that was a big mistake.

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

I love this flat iron! I have been using it everyday for 3+ years and it is amazing. It heats up fast and gets the job done. I love that you can control the amount of heat it provides, because though I prefer the highest 455 degree setting, my friend with thinner hair likes the 400 degrees. My hair always looks shiny and fantastic after using it. I own a CHI and I literally never use that anymore.. John Frieda you have surpassed my expectations with this straightener !! A must have!

I gave it as a gift but, however I had to try it. I like that it heats up fast but, it did snag on my hair and I felt that you have to pass through too many times overall, it's not bad for the price

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

it was pulling my hair out and didn't close all the way on small part of hair so I ended up looking like an idiot at work and not straightened! going back today to return it! plus I hate where they put the off and on button like really?? I expected more out of this product considering I like the brand.

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

I bought this flat iron to use to straighten my bangs only. I have fine, naturally curly hair and my other flat iron was too large to use on such a small area. The iron heats up fast. The on/off button is on the same panel as the temperature control; making it easy to shut the iron off while in use. I could see where this would be a pain if you were using to straighten your entire head of hair, but quick hand placement adjustments don't make this much of an issue if using for bangs only.

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

I love this because it works so well with my thick, curly hair! It doesn't create friz or damage and it's super light to hold. My ends were really damaged so straightening it was a disaster until I got this! Now the ends look smooth and healthy straightened.

Does this product have a "swivel-cord" because I find myself using my flatiron to create curls and waves ad I hate when the cord tangles up and becomes hard to use when straightening, so I always buy flatirons with the swivel cord and I wanted to check before I purchased this one.

              • Q:

I have this flat iron but I'm unsure what temperature I should use. I have pretty fine highlighted blonde hair. I tried using it on the lowest setting, but my hair did not straighten. I'm a little hesitant to go up in temperature. Is there a range I should be in for having fine hair?
