Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

The plates on the flat iron stick out just as far as the guard, I singed the skin on my finger while curling a clients hair, this also makes it dangerous for the client because it's a lot easier to burn them since there are no protective plates on the flat iron.

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

Love this flat iron. Have been using it for over a year. Straightens smoothly and doesn't leave crease marks on my hair like some flat irons do. My only complaint is that the placement of the buttons is TERRIBLE! They are right where you hold the flat iron, so I constantly have to turn it back on while straightening. I don't think I'll buy it again because of this.

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

I use this product everyday at home. I like the product because it heats up quickly and it's lightweight. The only thing I don't like about it is the setting location. It is right on the front of the iron and when you use the iron, your fingers wrap around where the settings are and tend to either shut the iron off or lowers the heat setting.

Your heat control setting and on/off switch are were you hold the Flat Iron. It kept turning off or heat settings were changed.

I can't get over the compliments I've received after switching to this vs my old hot tools flat iron. My hair normally looks frizzy and wavy even after styling. With the Sleek Finish Flat Iron, my hair looks healthy, shiny and sleek! And with the right products it holds all day. Would definitely recommend this to my friends!

Seriously have had this curling iron going on 7 years and works amazing the only thing wrong with it now is the cord has twisted and caused some wiring to show and that makes me nervous so I'm looking to by another

I have thick/curly/frizzy hair used to use a chi, hated it, went to wet to straight because it worked well for my hair type but always had to put so much product and sleep on it to make it flat but this straightener is pretty amazing. Eliminated frizz and straightened fast. Recommend to all the people who struggle w frizz

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

This flat iron is awful. Not only is the design bad, because as you use it you turn it off or change the heat settings, it snags my hair. I used a oil spray on my hair which should have made any flat iron run smoothly through but this one still snagged my hair. The grip is not tight, and so I needed to go over each portion more than necessary which does damage. I returned it after two tries.

This iron is a joke! The on/off and heat control settings are right where you hold the iron. I am constantly turning it off and on - or up and down! Completely worthless!

                  • Q:

Does this product have a "swivel-cord" because I find myself using my flatiron to create curls and waves ad I hate when the cord tangles up and becomes hard to use when straightening, so I always buy flatirons with the swivel cord and I wanted to check before I purchased this one.

                  • Q:

I have this flat iron but I'm unsure what temperature I should use. I have pretty fine highlighted blonde hair. I tried using it on the lowest setting, but my hair did not straighten. I'm a little hesitant to go up in temperature. Is there a range I should be in for having fine hair?
