Ask a Question

A highly active lactic acid concentrate that retexturizes skin suffering from visible signs of aging by removing dulling surface debris and accelerating cell renewal. Antioxidant vitamin E conditions and enhances softness while fortifying the skin¿s natural moisture barrier, while soothing rose flower oil calms skin sensitivity. Daily use of this silky cleanser dramatically improves skin texture and properly prepares for maximum penetration of AGE Smart¿ products. Contains no artificial fragrance or color.

How it works:

  • Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that exfoliates surface cells leaving a smoother, polished surface that is receptive to subsequent active ingredients. Also helps hydrate and brighten.
  • Tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E) is an antioxidant that conditions and enhances skin softness while fortifying skin's natural moisture barrier.
  • Soothing rose flower oil calms skin sensitivity.

We recommend that first-time Dermalogica users visit an authorized skin treatment professional for a client consultation in an ULTA store.

There isn't another cleansing product I've bought that does what this one does!

I've used this cleanser for several years and it's truly a gamer changer for aging skin.

How I use it--In the morning and in the shower after I wash my face with Philosophy's Purity, I use 1-2 pumps of this all over my face (not too close to eyes) neck and chest, and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Often, I will use my wet Clarisonic over the cleanser to seal the deal. After rinsing, I can instantly feel the difference in the texture of my skin. I only use this 2-3 times a week, but what it does to my skin is magical!

32years old. Oily combo. Skin adult acne few signs of aging. I heard exfoliation is the best for age prevention and clogged pores of coarse. Is this product actually a good investment?

Thank you for your inquiry. Skin Resurfacing Cleanser is a very active, exfoliating cleanser that will help to smooth skin's texture and even out skin tone. Exfoliation will also help to minimize congestion and clogged pores. Start off using this cleanser every other day and adjust accordingly.

Thank you for your inquiry. We do not recommend using this cleanser on your eye area. This product is a highly active exfoliating cleanser and should not be used regularly on the eye area. If you are looking for an all in one cleanser please use Special Cleansing Gel or Ultra Calming Cleanser.

We recommend using Ultra Calming Cleanser every day and using Daily Microfoliant 3-4 times a week to exfoliate and keep follicles clear. Skin Resurfacing Cleanser is too active for your skin.

I'm 41 and have been using Dermalogica products for about a year. I'm contemplating a switch to the Age Smart line. Can you please suggest a daily regimen to diminish fine lines around my eyes, as well as frown lines between my brows? My skin is sensitive and dries out easily. I've been using the Precleanse, followed by special cleansing gel, total eye care, toner spray and skin smoothing cream with no problems at all. Thank you!

Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend staying with the products you are currently using and adding in the following Age Smart products: MAP-15 Regenerator to target problem areas. Age Reversal Eye Complex at night on the eye area. MultiVitamin Power Recovery Masque and switching your toner to Antioxidant HydraMist. These few additions will help to target the signs of aging and prevent them from developing more.

Thank you for your inquiry. How long have you been using your products? It is normal to experience some breakouts when ever you start a new product line. We do not recommend using this cleanser if the MediBac line is causing you more breakouts. Our Dermal Clay Cleanser would be a better option for cleansing and making sure to exfoliate regularly and us your clay based masque such as Charcoal Relief Masque 2-3 times a weeks.

Thank you for your inquiry. Skin Resurfacing Cleanser is an exfoliating cleanser which can help eliminate milla with regular use. Also, you should check your skin care products and make sure you are not using anything with mineral oil or petroleum that are clogging you follicles. Make sure to also use a clay based masque 2-3 times a week to help prevent future millia from forming.

                  Hello Ruchu,

Thank you for your inquiry. This cleanser is not a good choice for someone with sensitive skin. It would be better for you to use a gentle cleanser and Daily Microfoliant. Daily Microfoliant is gentle yet still exfoliates and brightens the skin to even skin tone. Use sunscreen every day and to intensify brightening results use C-12 Power Bright Serum, Pure Light SPF50 and Pure Night daily.

Thank you for your inquiry. This cleanser will help to even skin tone and keep follicles clear. This cleanser is very active so start out using it once every other day. It is also important to use a clay based masque like Sebum Clearing Masque to reduce the amount of oil in your follicles. For enlarged pores our Clearing Mattifier will help to reduce the size of the follicle opening with daily use.
