Comments about Real Techniques Retractable Lip Brush:

I really like it! The fact that it's retractable and has a cap is very convinient because there have been times where I throw in my lip brush with lipstick still on it in my purse/bag and it stains the inside. The bristles haven't separated yet (hopefully never) and they're easy to manuever when I'm outlining my lips.

Comments about Real Techniques Retractable Lip Brush:

I usually love Real Techniques brushes, but not this one. I watched the video prior to purchasing it so I was prepared for the brush head being a bit on the stiff side. "You can line your lips!" I was told. Uh, no you can't. I was also not prepared for the bristles to separate when attempting to use it, thus causing the lip product to have a very streaky and patchy application. Yes, the price point is attractive but what good is a tool that does not do the work it's intended for?

it works really well to stay in your lip lines. it would be nicer if the brush was a bit wider so you dont have to apply it forever and ever but it works nice.

I love this brush so much, I bought another one for my purse makeup bag. The retractable part plus the lid keep it from making a mess. Lipstick goes on so smoothly with this brush. Highly recommend.

I purchased this travel lip brush in hopes that I could carry it with my lipstick in my pocket. I love this brand of makeup brushes and the pink color is really cute . For about a week the product was great. But now the cap keeps falling off and the lip brush wont stay inside of the tube as it is supposed to. I will be returning this slip brush.

The only thing good about it was that I finally found a lip brush! I have been looking all over and this seemed to be the only alternative. The brush is not as stiff as a lip brush should be and the retractable sleeve doesn't stay retracted nor does the cap on the end of the brush stay on. Not the worth the money. Where are all the lip brushes?

I only gave this brush 4 stars because I have had other brushes I preferred, but really this one is good. I think it's a bit small but no big deal. The cap stays put and that's a big plus if you toss things in your purse. Good brush. Price is great.

                      Hi Samsam,

The cut of the bristles make lip lining and filling in easier and more precise, so I think you will find that it should work well with liquid lipstick.

                      Thanks!

                      Hi Milena,

Thanks for your question. One of the best things about the Real Techniques brushes is that they are so multi-functional, so the answer to your question is Yes, you can use this for a concealer brush! This would work well for smaller areas that you're looking to mask or conceal (since the brush head is so small).

Two other options for you, too, are: the actual Real Techniques concealer brush (found here - http://www.ulta.com/concealer-brush?productId=xlsImpprod11861067), or one that I love is our Real Techniques Setting Brush (http://www.ulta.com/setting-brush?productId=xlsImpprod4260019&sku=2244504&_requestid=6302700). The Setting Brush does have a larger head on it, but it's perfect for applying product directly to the area, then feathering it out to blend.

                      Hope those suggestions help!

                      Thanks! :)

Hi pigletbunny (I love your name, btw):

The bristles on this brush are made from a synthetic fiber called taklon. They are cruelty-free and we feel they provide a better application than natural hair brushes.

                      Thanks!

                      Hi Caseycat,

Thanks for your question! The bristles on this brush are very firm and will allow you to get a nice line & definition on your lips; however, if your lips are thin (like mine are), I find that a sharp lip pencil will give me slightly better and more precise results.

However, I love this brush for filling in and re-apply throughout the day. And, the fact that it's retractable means I can put product on the brush before I go, then just pull it out of my bag & the product's already on there. Awesome!

                      Thanks!

We recommend spritzing with brush cleaner spray in between uses. Each week, shampoo your brush using a brush shampoo or mild hair shampoo. Lather and rinse with cool water until the water runs clear. Lay flat to dry.
