I use this daily to help fight my severe redness. It did not cover it all, but in all fairness I am extremely red. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I am saving my 5 stars for a miracle.

Ulta was out of my regular primer ("inventory time") so I was recommended this. It is twice the price of my regular one but feels exactly the same. The green tint is good covering a couple red areas.

Comments about Dermalogica Redness Relief Primer SPF 20:

I made the mistake of using this stuff one morning instead of my normal primer without patch testing (applying on a small area of the face for a few days) first. HUGE mistake. My whole face began to get red and inflamed within 30 minutes - I had to go rinse my face off in the bathroom sink at work and am STILL extremely inflamed and red at 11pm.

It turns out this stuff has ginger root extract in it - a known skin irritant. I will never ever use this stuff again and cannot reccomend it to anyone. Be careful to look at the ingredients of what you put on your face, I cannot believe this is allowed in stores without a warning label on the side.

Comments about Dermalogica Redness Relief Primer SPF 20:

I have extremely sensitive skin and when I was advised to use this I though how could I go wrong with dermalogica. The only reason I didn't use this earlier was because I thought the dermologica line was skin care only and didn't have makeup related products such as primers.
I am in love! It's so amazing it's actually calmed my skin and I can apply any makeup product I want and it completely blocks it and protects my skin. I still use my Lancôme foundation for events or nights out and dermablend as my everyday in fear of a cystic breakout.
I highly recommend this product for anyone with sentitive skin. I have a red/pink undertone (possibly early rosacea) and this helps correct that as well.

I am red and oily. Nothing in description or reviews lists anything about oil control or blurring pores. How does this primer work with oily, large pore skin?

                        A:

Thank you for your inquiry. Redness Relief Primer SPF20 has mattifying qualities and is OK to use on oily skin with enlarged pores. If your main concern is reducing pore size and addressing oil production we recommend using Clearing Mattifier which is meant to address these issues specifically.

We do not use the term "hypoallergenic" on our products because we feel that the term is misleading. Anyone can become sensitized to any ingredient. Our products do not contain perfumes or dyes that can cause irritation on the skin. All of our Ultra Calming products are formulated to calm and sooth the skin and is tolerated by even the most sensitive skin types. If you have delicate reactive skin this product will be good for your skin.
