I just bought a second tube of this concealer. I use light for undereyes, and medium for dark spots on face. I've used IT concealer before, but like this much better. This blends easier and less greasy. For undereyes, use this concealer and a yellow setting powder. It looks very natural and stays all day long!

It did a great job covering my dark circles but it went on so thick and creamy it was so obvious it was on. It was kind of hard to blend and the colors were not well matching. They are like super bright white or super dark brown so it's not really a good matching spectrum. It makes it pretty obvious you have thick coverup on.

This is a product that is designed to cover extreme skin imperfections like bruises, scars, rosacea, and even tattoos! For the most coverage, the best way to apply is in thin, light layers. Apply a layer, let it dry, and then apply another layer until the tattoo is covered.
As a makeup artist, I have another product to recommend for even more coverage. Sometimes we need to use a color-corrector to cover up extreme darkness (like black, or heavy blue). We recently launch a color correcting cream which includes a peach shade. If you apply this first, it will completely counteract the black and will color correct. THEN, apply the Real Deal concealer. I will include a link to the color corrector below so you can read all about it. I hope this helps!

Absolutely! Beauty Blenders (the Beauty Blender brand or any of the brands that you can find at Ulta) work beautifully to blend the Real Deal Concealer. I like to dab a little concealer on my fingertips, warm it up a bit by rubbing it together, apply onto the skin, and use the beauty blender to push it into the skin and blend it in with the rest of the complexion. Enjoy!

This can be used as an eyeshadow primer, however if too much is used, it can cause creasing on the eyelid. Just use the same rule- a very little bit goes a very long way. Enjoy!

Hmm, I have never seen one of our boxes not labeled... it could be written in small letters so make sure you're looking closely! The medium is much lighter than the medium/deep (medium/deep is the deepest shade) and it has much more tan/sand shades in it. The medium should be light enough to add a brightness throughout your complexion.

Yes! I know many people who use this as a foundation! It's important to remember that a very little bit goes a really long way, so you don't need a lot at all! You can even mix it with your favorite spackle for a primer/foundation mix! This will still give you the great coverage, yet it won't be as heavy. Enjoy!

This concealer is water resistant. It is designed to last a really long time! To cover a tattoo, I would recommend applying in lots of light layers. Apply a thin layer to cover, let it dry, and then apply again. Repeat these steps until you reach the coverage you desire. I also recommend finishing with a light foundation powder or translucent powder to set it. Once you follow these steps you'll see that this concealer will cover anything you desire! Enjoy!

I purchased this concealer in the light shade, despite the obvious shade mismatch. I have light-medium skin with pink undertones. The light is too light for me, but the medium is dark and way too yellow. How can I make this product work for me??

Have you tried mixing the two shades together? As a makeup artist, I often have to mix shades to to find a perfect match for my clients. It sounds like the mixture of light and medium would be perfect for you! If mixing shades is not ideal, we do offer another concealer that has six shades called Bakes Radiance Cream Concealer. The light in this lineup is darker than the the real deal's light and also sounds like it could work! You can also try setting the concealer with some foundation powder to bring it back to the shade that is going to match your skin tone perfectly. Enjoy!

Is this the only concealer made by Laura Geller? Sometime ago I read a magazine article listing the top 5 best concealers and Laura Gellars was in the top 5 but I can not recall the specific one. I have always had the darkest undereye circles I have ever seen on anyone due to heredity, making me look so much older than I am.I have always had people ask"Are you sick"? Is this the best you have for coverage? Do you think the Tarte concealer is better for the worst cases of "black eyes"? Thank you for your advice and opinion.

                          A:

We currently make a couple different concealer and we are about to launch a new one (yay!), however The Readl Deal Concealer is a true fan favorite and this is our concealer with the fullest coverage. It was most likely the concealer in the article, as it has a cult following! It's designed to cover virtually anything, and especially undereye darkness. I highly recommend giving it a try. Enjoy!
