Radiance Primer

Ask a Question
Inspired by backstage make-up techniques, Radiance Primer is the ultimate remedy for a complexion that radiates beauty and light. It's weightless and silky texture glides onto the skin and offers a pearlescent optical imperfection blurring effect. Skin fatigue is swept away. Radiance and luminosity are restored. Reflective pigments attract and diffuse light and add a hyper-real youthful beauty to the skin.
Smooth over the entire face to illuminate the skin before applying foundation.
Aqua/Water, Butylene Glycol, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Tin Oxide, Phenoxyenthanol, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Methylparaben. May Contain: CI 77891, Titanium Dioxide, Mica.

Comments about Japonesque Color Radiance Primer:

This is first time I had ever used a primer (I had never even heard of it before) and it is great! Light weight, NOT clumpy, has great coverage, Helps my base to go on smoother and last longer. A little pricey (before I always used L'Oreal)

Comments about Japonesque Color Radiance Primer:

LOVE THIS PRIMER!!!! Normally never would've tried this product, but I got it in a "Surprise Me" sampler and fell in love. I'm not sure why it's called a "foundation primer" though. I see other reviews that say the effect of the primer is negated when foundation is applied on top of it, and I imagine that would be the case. I'm the type of person who uses moisturizer/powder only, and spot concealer when needed; my combination skin is acne prone and I find that using foundation (of any kind) makes breakouts worse. So I haven't used it under foundation. But anyway. I use this primer under my eyes and along my cheekbones. It has a LOVELY pink/pearl shimmer to it! I have warm-tone/olive skin, so at first I was horrified that pinkish primer was going to look ridiculous on me. But, it looks great!! Seriously looks like soft, ethereal light is gleaming out of my face. Lasts all day without settling into fine lines and doesn't crease. Also seems to help prevent transfer of my mascara. I bet if you used this to contour/strobe it would look fantastic. Highly recommended.

Comments about Japonesque Color Radiance Primer:

I should know better than to listen to salespeople. I was out of my Climique superprimer and the lady convinced me that this was better for the price.

Not only did this primer make my face look like a beacon of Gondor for two hours, it also made my foundation settle into fine lines, as well as making it break up around my nose. Such a complete waste of money. Returned it the next day.

Comments about Japonesque Color Radiance Primer:

This primer did nothing for my fair, dry skin. I have pale skin, cool tones, and mild rosacea. My makeup looked patchy, and my skin looked ashen. It does have radiance. The color may work for someone with darker skin. I returned.

This is my first time trying a highlighter to my face so I was unsure of this at first. It went on a little to shimmery almost silvery but once it got blended and settled on my skin it gave me a nice glow.

Comments about Japonesque Color Radiance Primer:

The radiance face primer by Japonesque is an excellent product. I wear it before applying my foundation. Sometimes I skip the foundation and where it alone as a moisturizer. It wakes up tired skin. The texture is light and the right amount of creamy.

this is PERFECT...not as a primer

Comments about Japonesque Color Radiance Primer:

I received a deluxe sample tube of this and because the clear packaging allowed me to see its shimmery white tone, I just assumed it was a highlighting cream and applied it as such without reading the label. It is the most incredible highlight I've ever used, better than Becca liquids, Benefit High Beam, Balm Mary Loumanizer, etc.

I use the BEauty Blender for my foundation and concealer blending and then also to apply my setting powder as it really melts the powder for a natural finish. I put a dab of this product on the back of my hand and pounce the blender in it a bit, that way when I apply it to my face I'm not applying a dot of product I have to spread around, but a diffused amount that has been preblended on the sponge. I pounce on the tops of my cheekbones, tip of my nose and the bit of the bridge between my eyes, my upper brow bone, and Cupid's bow.

The look is liquid mother of pearl. It isn't too stark or harsh because it has a translucency to it, but it also is devoid of glitter. It truly imparts a glow upon the skin that, even once dry, looks moisturized and supple without appearing greasy.

I did try it as a primer, I put a generous amount of it on the top of one hand, nothing on the other, and lightly pounced a medium coverage foundation on top of each. You could not tell the difference whatsoever.
