I have a lot of fine wavy to slightly curly hair. It is color treated, I use heat with a diffuser for fullness and a straightener for bangs area. Strength Cure seems to leave my hair feeling dry, the Hydrate weighs it down if I use too often, although I do like it sparingly. The volume shamoo leaves it feeling dry also. My hair is dry and somewhat damaged on the ends. I need moisture without weighing down. Might the Precious Oil be a good option for me? I do also use product that can weight it down, but the Clarifying was too drying. I tend to go back to Strength Cure and mix it with Hydrate occasionally. Can sometimes make my hair too soft though. Again, could Precious Oil be my solution to giving moisture yet keeping body. I'm not against mixing it with Strength Cure. Thoughts?

We recommend using Pureology's Curl Complete line of products. The shampoo and conditioner are specially designed to address the needs of curly hair, which include moisture, defining curls, light weight, frizz reduction and protection from breakage.

I have very thick, very coarse (literally think horse hair), long, wavy hair. I wash/condition 2-3 times a week and I don't blow dry, flat iron or use any product regularly. I also have a very dry scalp. I need mega moisture w/o being greasy. Would this product provide enough "oompf" to help ?

                    A:

For very thin fine dry hair, it would be suggested to use Pure Volume Extra Care Shampoo and Conditioner. You may wish to consider Precious Oil Versatile Caring Oil as a multi use oil treatment. It can be used:

                    *As a softening pre-shampoo treatment
*Add 3-5 drops to your favorite Pureology masque
                    *As an overnight treatment
*As a smoothing finishing oil (1-2) drops
*To soften and nourish dry skin

I have fine shoulder-length color treated hair, but it tends to get frizzy. I live in an area with hard water, which tends to also make my hair dry and I am prone to split ends easily. I've been coloring my hair for about the past 6 years. I'm looking for a shampoo/conditioner combo to make my hair look and feel healthy. Would this be good for me?

Yes, Pureology Precious Oil Shamp'oil and Softening Conditioner will make your hair soft, shiny and healthy, all while protecting your color.

Please consider using Pureology Strength Cure Split-End Salve to help smooth and prevent split ends. This leave-in treatment fortifies and reinforces the cuticle layer of micro-scarred and color damaged hair.

I have very, very long virgin hair down to my knees. It is straight and fine with medium thickness. I only trim just the tiniest bit to keep split ends at bay and to keep the ends blunt cut. I wash/condition and lightly blow dry the roots 2-3 times a week. I use a protein pack every week or so.

I'm looking for a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner would this line be a good fit for me or the hydrate line? I switched last year to Wen and my hair has gotten more dry and brittle feeling.

It would be suggested to use our Hydrate line of products for the most concentrated moisture formulas. For conditioning, you may wish to use Hydrate Light Condition which is a lightweight daily conditioner. You may also want to consult with your PureOlogy stylist for a regimen that may better fit your needs.

                    A:

We would recommend trying Pureology Pure Volume Extra Care Shampoo (Item #: 2272875), which is formulated for extra sensitized, color-treated hair. We also suggest regular trims to alleviate and reduce the appearance of your dry, split ends. You can also try reducing the number of times you shampoo your hair throughout the week to help balance the oil production at the scalp. For example if shampooing 7 times a week, reduce to 4x a week or every other day. This will allow the scalp to regulate oil production, and reduce the "oiliness" you are experiencing. In between shampoos, use the Fresh Approach Dry Shampoo (Item #: 2266020) to absorb any excess oils and refresh the hair.

Pureology Precious Oil Shamp’oil helps restore dull brittle hair by adding softness and shine, so if removing build up is what you are looking for, we recommend Pureology Purify Shampoo:

Purify clarifies all types of color-treated hair without stripping. The clarifying formula with witch hazel, baking soda and tea tree oil removed impurities, dulling residue and buildup!

Though concentrated, Precious Oil Shamp'oil is still ideal for all hair types and textures including fine hair. It will add moisture, shine, and manageability without weighing hair down. It is especially ideal to repair and strengthen brittle, color- and chemically-treated hair. You can use it in conjunction with volumizing styling treatments to meet all of your haircare needs. We recommend Pure Volume Blow Dry Amplifier to add volume and fullness:

Pureology products are not claimed to be gluten-free because some (not all) product formulas contain wheat and soy proteins, and products are not produced in a gluten-free facility. Precious Oil Shamp'oil does contain wheat proteins; therefore, it is not gluten-free.
