Ask a Question
The BaBylissPRO Porcelain Ceramic products offer an advanced form of ceramic technology, with the finest commercial-grade porcelain ceramic integrated into the heating surfaces of irons and dryers, generating far-infrared heat, less damaging than conventional heating processes. Porcelain ceramic's superior heat distribution eliminates hot spots on plates, barrels and air outlet surfaces, while negative ions reduce static electricity and assist in breaking apart water molecules, decreasing styling time.

With its improved heat distribution and increased far-infrared heat and ion production, outperforms standard ceramic, leaving hair healthy-looking, revitalized and shiny. The BaBylissPRO Porcelain Ceramic 1.25" Curling Iron features a far-infrared emitting Porcelain Ceramic barrel, with 30 heat settings up to 430 degrees F. Ceramic heaters provide fast heat-up and the design includes a rubberized non-slip grip.

Key Features:
  • Porcelain ceramic barrel
  • 30 Heat settings up to 430 degrees F

This is a nice curling iron, however I have fine hair and it tends to grab and pull my hair more than my last curling iron which was a third cheaper.

Comments about BaBylissPRO Porcelain Ceramic 1.25" Spring Curling Iron:

I have owned many crying irons, including hot tools. I am so glad I purchased this one because it leaves my hair smooth and it doesn't leave any marks on your hair. I have think hair and use it on 380 when wanting soft waves and a higher temperature if I want tight curls; the curls or waves last all day. It doesn't burn or fry your ends like the hot tools curling irons. My hair holds up with the Houston weather!

I use this curling iron for big soft curls and it works great! My sister is a professional hairstylist and she agrees that baby bliss is better to use than hot tools. Hot tools gets too hot which can fry your hair.

Comments about BaBylissPRO Porcelain Ceramic 1.25" Spring Curling Iron:

I have bra-strap-length, highlighted (i.e. somewhat damaged) hair and wave/curl at least a few times each week. I've been doing this for over a decade and have many different irons, mostly Hot Tools. One of them finally bit the dust this week and I decided to try this one because I love my Babybliss hairdryer.... ugh. First, the whole thing feels a lot cheaper than the Hot Tools irons, from the cord to the buttons, etc. (more like a Revlon or Conair.) Then, the cool tip was not nearly as cool nor quite as long as the Hot Tools -- I kept feeling the heat and let a few profanities slip when I kept burning my fingers on the iron just trying to hold onto the cool tip. Finally, the curls didn't stay at ALL compared to my Hot Tools curls. Returning and going back to the old faithful.

Please see the tool differences below on our BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium Curling Iron and our Porcelain Ceramic Curling Iron.

Besides the Iron design being different the main difference between the irons are their heat settings and how they heat up:

The Porcelain Ceramic iron provides even heat distribution and far in-fared heat for gentle styling, and has a max heat setting of 430F.

Our Nano Titanium Iron is lightweight, maintains stability under high heat, and heats up to a max heat setting of 450F with additional Turbo Heat.

For fine, color treated hair, we recommend using either iron on your hair, just at a low heat setting.

We would suggest the BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium Spring Curling Iron
1-1/2 in. This curling iron has negative ions which helps to calm static, which fine hair is more prone to. The negative ions leaves hair smoother and shinier.

The Porcelain Ceramic appliance series is built for the professional and to BaBylissPRO high standards, but does not include all of the features and benefits from the Nano Titanium series (the blue and silver). Primary differences in include a porcelain finished barrel versus titanium, and the Porcelain Ceramic series does not include Nano Titanium's "Sol Gel" technology, which strengthens the barrel and aids in even heat transfer.
