Comments about Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (PhD) Conditioner:

I received this conditioner in a sample pack from Ulta, along with the matching shampoo. It's been 2+ days since I washed my hair and it looks like it was washed just this morning. The conditioner is silky and detangles my hair while I rinse. I will be purchasing the full sized product for sure.

The 8 oz bottle is poorly designed. The conditioner is so thick it will not come out the regular lid, even if stored upside down. I finally gave up and popped the top off each time so I didn't get hand cramps.

Comments about Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (PhD) Conditioner:

I wanted to try this line since the girl at my blowout bar said she loves it. I feel that now that I've been using this shampoo and conditioner for a couple of months, I have been very underwhelmed by it. I expected (for the price) that I would notice significant improvement in my hair's overall health and condition. But I feel like I get the same results with the OGX line I used to use and it is less than half the price. I have not done anything else to my hair like color or chemical treatments that would have negated the effectiveness of the shampoo/conditioner. But the last straw for me to never want to buy this again was the bottle. I have rheumatoid arthritis and so my hand strength is weakened but still decent. However since the bottles are a slim, square shape and taper up towards the top, it is so hard to squeeze any decent amount of product out at a time. I don't know if they did this on purpose to prevent you from using too much, but now that my bottles are nearly empty, it is to the point of frustration trying to get enough product out for my long, thick hair even despite storing the bottles upside down. I am even contemplating cutting the bottles open since the lids don't screw off because I refuse to throw away any of this product that I paid so much for. Needless to say I am very disappointed. I wanted to love this as much as I love their dry shampoo.

I have been using Living Proof PhD for over a year now and I absolutely love it. I wash my hair about every 2 days but flat iron every day. My hair seems like it's getting more dry, or not as soft as it used to be. Should I switch something else, or is there a leave in product I can add to my routine?

                          A:

If you have dry hair, we'd recommend you extend shampooing for as long as possible. You could do that with our PhD Dry Shampoo. Irritated scalp can be sensitive to any type of cleansing, so it may take time for it to normalize, and letting it rest might be the best option. With that said, if your hair is really damaged, consider using Restore Shampoo and Restore Conditioner, if it's only somewhat damaged, consider PhD Shampoo & Conditioner. We also suggest using a product like PhD Night Cap to help bring your back to a healthier looking state faster.

I currently use the PhD shampoo and love it. My hair is very oily at the scalp and this helps keep my hair clean longer. I've been growing my hair longer and now the ends are becoming very dry and dull. Should I use the PhD conditioner also or the Restore conditioner?

We'd recommend using the PhD Conditioner in conjunction with the PhD Shampoo that you already use. They're meant to work together to keep the hair smooth, hydrated and cleaner longer. Also try PhD Fresh Cut (Item #: 2301744) to keep your ends smooth in-between trims!

Right now it's feeling and looking brittle and dull. It breaks easily. While I like joico shampoo and conditioner I need more intensive repair. What shampoo and conditioner, etc. do you recommend ? It seems like I have no oil or lustre. Thanks so much l! Btw ! I am from India (so you'll understand my hair type).
