Peach Sake Emulsion

Item #: 2305338 Size: 4.6 oz

Peaches contain significant vitamins, minerals, and other factors, which promote healthy skin. Peaches are rich in vitamin A and vitamin C, which are antioxidants that help reduce free radical damage and possess anti-aging benefits. Naturally occurring acid in the skin helps prevent acne and repair acne scars. The organic acid found in peaches can boost skin acid's rejuvenating effects. Finally, pectin, a type of fiber, is found in the skin of peaches and helps to tone and firm skin. Sake, a wine made from rice, clears skin by facilitating blood circulation, while the alcohol also tightens pores and controls sebum production. Geishas, traditional artisans and performers in Japan, would add sake to bath water for softer, brighter skin. Following their fashion, sake spas offer luxurious sake baths and treatments. The fermentation process produces kojic acid, which has brightening effects on skin. The yeast used in the process also contains peptides, which are chains of amino acids that play a role in effective collagen production. SKINFOOD's Peach Sake Emulsion is a light and refreshing emulsion with peach and Japanese sake extracts. It tightens pores, reduces the appearance of enlarged pores, and controls oily skin with excessive sebum.
After toner/serum application, dispense an ample amount onto palms. Smooth gently over entire face until completely absorbed.

I have truly oily skin that has some dry patches so it's impossible to keep my skin moisturized without making it over greasy, but this product works amazing! My skins also very acne prone and this product doesn't clog my pores at all. It smells great and it absorbs quickly and smoothly.

Comments about Skinfood Peach Sake Emulsion:

Overall, I love this skin care line. It's hit borderline HG status for me.

This emulsion is incredibly light, but effective for my acne prone, semi-oily skin.

Please keep in mind that Korean emulsions are meant to be a light lotion to be used before sunscreen or a heavier cream. While they provide some moisture on their own, sometimes they aren't enough.
Pair this up with a good moisturizing sunscreen during the day and a heavier cream/sleeping mask at night!

This contain denatured alcohol, which is a problem for some individuals, but keep in mind that the alcohol listed is the sake portion of the product. I also love smell of this entire line; it smells like a freshly cut peach. While the scent is strong when you first apply, it disappears after a bit.

While I don't know if this product would be as impressive on its own, when used with the entire line it is phenominal. It flattened and calmed several of my angry, red acne spots overnight. Literally.
I am also five hours into my workday today and my forehead is showing no traces of oiliness yet! Usually by the fourth hour or so of my day I have to blot.

I will be repurchasing this product and this line and singing its praises for a long time to come.

I have oily skin and I have been looking for a light moisturiser to use daily. This product is amazing! I love the light liquidy texture; a little of this product goes a LONG way! It absorbs beautifully on the skin, leaving an almost velvety and powdery texture. Even though it's lightweight, it does so well at moisturising my skin when it's dry. Plus point, the smell is amazing.

Comments about Skinfood Peach Sake Emulsion:

I have oily, acne-prone skin and have been using the Skinfood Peach Sake toner + emulsion + pore serum for about a month. It's a great line of products and works well on my sensitive skin. I have noticed that my skin is overall well moisturized, without being oily and the pores on my cheeks have shrank! However, this line of products does not do much for sebum production. In fact, I have noticed that I've had more tiny bumps on the perimeter of my face after using this product. I don't think this product has caused the bumps, but after I started using this line I stopped using my Mario Badescu glycolic 2-3 times a week (that way I could give the Skinfood line an honest try). Thus, if you are acne-prone I 'd recommend incorporating something with glycolic/salicylic acid to help exfoliate excess skin build-up/oils. Otherwise, this is a fantastic line and I'd recommend purchasing it when it's on sale (buy 1 get 1 50%). Try to get it in the store. I ordered the toner and emulsion online and they broke during shipping.

Comments about Skinfood Peach Sake Emulsion:

This has made my skin MUCH less oily. I have tried multiple different products to try and keep my skin less oily. None really worked. This has done so amazing at keeping my skin relatively oil free. It does not make my skin feel sticky at all. It absorbs quickly and after a few minutes, when you touch your face, it feels like you didn't put anything on. Instead of the greasy lotion was used to before. There are a few cons though. The scent can be pretty strong. It sticks around for awhile, but it smells really great. It does not moisturize very well at all. I do realize that you are supposed to use an essence or something after this. But it feels almost like water. I apply about two layers, then one small layer of regular lotion where it is most dry. Another con is that the bottle it comes in is pretty difficult to get product out. Granted, you need a LOT less than you think you do. When you apply it, it does on so smoothly and a little goes a very long way. This would be perfect for people who struggle with oily skin, but don't have any issues with dryness.

I have oily acne prone skin and was hoping to find a light moisturizer in the same vein as Purpose's lightweight SPF moisturizer. This is certainly light, and it smells amazing, but the alcohol in the product did not react well with my skin. I found it caused breakouts and left my face needing more moisture, so I repurposed it as a hand cream. It didn't effectively moisturize my hands, so I again repurposed it as a light after shower body cream. While it was a decent light moisturizer in that capacity, I found the alcohol in the product irritated any freshly shaved skin. Because I tried to use the product multiple ways and it didn't work for me, I won't be repurchasing. One ⭐️ for the quality, but it does smell amazing!

I have used the Peach Sake serum for a while now, so got the emulsion to try. It is a lot like the serum except lighter and it feels great under sunscreen/moisturizer. I have only used it a few days, but I do feel less greasy.
