Peach Sake Emulsion

Item #: 2305338 Size: 4.6 oz

Peaches contain significant vitamins, minerals, and other factors, which promote healthy skin. Peaches are rich in vitamin A and vitamin C, which are antioxidants that help reduce free radical damage and possess anti-aging benefits. Naturally occurring acid in the skin helps prevent acne and repair acne scars. The organic acid found in peaches can boost skin acid's rejuvenating effects. Finally, pectin, a type of fiber, is found in the skin of peaches and helps to tone and firm skin. Sake, a wine made from rice, clears skin by facilitating blood circulation, while the alcohol also tightens pores and controls sebum production. Geishas, traditional artisans and performers in Japan, would add sake to bath water for softer, brighter skin. Following their fashion, sake spas offer luxurious sake baths and treatments. The fermentation process produces kojic acid, which has brightening effects on skin. The yeast used in the process also contains peptides, which are chains of amino acids that play a role in effective collagen production. SKINFOOD's Peach Sake Emulsion is a light and refreshing emulsion with peach and Japanese sake extracts. It tightens pores, reduces the appearance of enlarged pores, and controls oily skin with excessive sebum.
After toner/serum application, dispense an ample amount onto palms. Smooth gently over entire face until completely absorbed.

It smells good. The bottle is kind of annoying but there hasn't been a problem yet getting product out. It absorbs well and makes my skin look smoother.

I use this after i wash my face, twice a day. It moisturizes well, and smells amazing. And since pores have always been a bit of an issue for me, I was glad to see that this closed them up to a manageable level. And the packaging is so pretty. Definitely worth your money. I'm repurchasing as soon as i'm out.

Comments about Skinfood Peach Sake Emulsion:

I am actually reviewing all three of the skinfood peach sake products: toner, serum, and emulsion because I have been using all three together. I have had very large pores and extremely oily skin all my life and nothing I did would help relieve this and nothing would keep my makeup on longer than an hour. I have watched countless beauty gurus on youtube and have tried all the products and techniques they have suggested with no success. Nothing would keep my foundation on for no longer than 2 hours tops. By the end of the day I could scrape my foundation off with my finger like icing (I used to use Estee Lauder double wear and now I use Too Faced Born This Way) and my pores could be seen from space. Disgusting. I searched for skincare products that would help with oil and saw good reviews on the skinfood peach sake line. I have been using the emulsion (toner and serum) for nearly a week now but the results I have gotten in that small of a time was worth sharing. I now can go a full 8 hours WITHOUT having to blot, powder, or just redo my makeup! Its soooooo amazing. My foundation looks great when I come home when before I would be in horror at the sight I saw in the mirror. Now I only have a little bit of shine. The emulsion (and serum) is dry to the touch once applied with a slight powdery feel to it, but only slight. Once applied I notice that my pores are less noticeable. However, when I wash everything off at the end of the day, my pores do not really look any smaller. I think this line just does a really good job at blurring and filling the pores and it does a FANTASTIC job at controlling oil production. Gave it a 4 because its hard to get the product out of the bottle, that's all.

        Great for Oily Skin

Comments about Skinfood Peach Sake Emulsion:

This is a great lotion for those with oily skin! I have a fairly oily forehead, but when I use this product, most of the oil subsides. This is a great lotion to wear when you will also be putting on makeup. My foundation lasts much longer on my forehead now thanks to this stuff! It smells great and works great too.
There are some downsides though. First, after using this product I noticed more large clogged pores. I think the lotion may actually just trap your sebum/oils rather than regulate it. Also, do not put this on your whole face of you have combo skin. This lotion will dry out your dry spots instantly. I also just want to point out that the packaging is a pain. It's cute, but it's pretty hard to get a decent amount of product out.
Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend this product if you are struggling with oily skin!
