Comments about SheaMoisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Nourish & Silken Styling Gel-Cream:

I have 3b hair and this product does wonders to it. I would definitely recommend this for defining curls. It does have a very strong odor but it eventually fades. Usually I check reviews before buying a product but when I bought this I didn't. I am glad i didn't check the reviews because they would've probably made me not want to purchase this. So like I said give this a chance and don't mind the negative reviews.

I purchased the conditioner which was fabulous and the gel... the gel was light weight and the slip was ok but once my hair dried it was hard, brittle and had no definition... for my hair type which if you had to categorize is a 4a very curly it did not work for me.. the smell is entoxicating!!! Love the smell!!

Comments about SheaMoisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Nourish & Silken Styling Gel-Cream:

I have 4C hair and this product was a disaster in my hair. No matter how much or how little I used, the product sat on top of my hair and made my twist-outs and wash-and-gos feel dry and crunchy. Plus the overwhelming scent gave me horrible headaches.

        Pros

        • Easy To Use
        • Lightweight
        • Medium hold, but great moisture
        • Non-Greasy
        • No Protiens, great for low porosity hair

        Cons

        • Sticky
        • Strong Odor
        • White residue left after hair dries

        Best Uses

        • Curly Hair
        • Daily Use
        • Thicker Hair

Comments about SheaMoisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Nourish & Silken Styling Gel-Cream:

Used for my very cury natural 4A/4B low porosity hair. I'm very conscious of products with added proteins in them because my hair is protein sensitive. However, this product is not a strong protein product so I'm in love. This is not a typical gel like eco styler gel. When applied I use coconut oil to moisture my hair first and then I add this gel cream to my hair wet or dry to style braid outs, twist outs, or buns. Great hold, won't leave your hair hard or crunchy like typical gels. The only con is the smell of this specific Shea moisture line(rose). The scent is very floral, and can be overwhelming to most. I don't mind it honestly but my boyfriend has complained about it, especially at night time, after I do my hair and we get in the bed to sleep. Also, the gel cream is a pinkish cream color, which tends to leave a white residue on hair once the product dries. I don't mind this con either because I'll simply add a light oil to boost shine and remove the residue.

Comments about SheaMoisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Nourish & Silken Styling Gel-Cream:

I used this just as a curl definer after using a leave In conditioner. The product is lightweight but it did make my hair crunchy. The devacurl b leave is the same consistency but doesn't make the hair hard so I'll just stick to that one
