Comments about Stila One Step Correct Triple Swirl Helix Primer:

I love this primer! Wasn't sure how all of the colors mixing together were going to work but they actually do, my skin always seems a bit less sallow & less red. I sometimes wear it alone to prevent gunk from getting into my pores when it's really hot (sweaty open pores) & windy (lots of dirt & stuff blowing around & whipping into your face) & it definitely helps more than just moisturizer alone.

Comments about Stila One Step Correct Triple Swirl Helix Primer:

I liked the concept of a primer that would correct for several things at once, so I gave this a try. But the primer doesn't contain enough of any one of the color correctors to be effective. It didn't even out my skin tone or help with redness. It didn't even seem to have as much staying power as some lower cost primers I've used. Not impressed. It's too pricey to be just mediocre.

I personally saw no difference before and after using the primer. It felt really nice on, don't get me wrong, and hydrated my skin. But my skin looked no different

How much primer do you use, for example, the size of a pea, or a dime or a quarter? Is it better to apply with your fingers or a brush?

                Hi Makeup Addict,

I find that one pump is enough for the entire face. It's your preference if you would like to apply with a brush or your fingers. Personally I like the heat from my fingers to melt product into skin.

                I hope this helps!

I'm actually looking for products for my mom. Whenever she gets stressed or tired her cheeks get really red and has like little bumps. Do you guys think this would help her hide her imperfections but also not irritate her skin?
Asked on 4/6/2017 by Nessie from Texas, US

                A:

                Hi Nessie,

Yes this product is perfect for calming down redness. It sounds like she may have rosacea, which can make skin extra sensitive. If you want to be totally safe, do a patch test on her cheek to make sure she can use this product. It is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and dermatologist tested, so she should be all good!

                Hi Britt,

The green corrector is just one element of this primer. It works great for redness because of the green. The purple part works to calm yellow/sallow tones in the skin. The peach gives beautiful all over brightening. More than just for redness for sure. You will love!

We recommend applying after your moisturizer. Even though this is a "serum" formula, it is meant to advance the benefits of your existing skincare routine. You will love it!

                A:

A primer is a product that you apply underneath your makeup to help lessen the appearance of uneven skin texture or other imperfections and to help ensure smooth, lasting makeup application. This product provides extra benefits to those of a traditional primer, in that it also color corrects and brightens skin. :-)

You can follow application of One Step Correct with foundation of any brand and any formula (pressed, loose, liquid, cream); it's your preference. It performs beautifully when paired with any of Stila's foundations:
