Comments about Garnier Olia Brilliant Color:

Couldn't find the L'Oréal color that I've been using for years, so tried the garnier 6.0 light brown color and the next day my scalp began itching terribly. It's day 2 and still itches. Nothing seems to help

Comments about Garnier Olia Brilliant Color:

I have used different hair color brands for years but this is by far my favorite! The dye smells nice, there is no strong chemical smell like most brands. While dying my hair, dye will get on my face but with this brand after showering there are no harsh hair dye stains! The color is beautiful and vibrant and it lasts long! It doesn't make my hair feel dry and coarse like other brands.

I love this hair color! I've tried other products and none can compare. Leaves my hair soft! Looks fantastic! The bottle is a bit hard to use however. It kept slipping out of my hands. I had tried the whole bayalage thing and it wrecked my hair, but when I use this, it is so soft and manageable that I can wear in down now. I haven't been able to do that in a while. Great color, looks natural.

Comments about Garnier Olia Brilliant Color:

I love light blonde brown or light caramel brown in Feria. The color is amazing but it definitely dries my hair and I miss the shine I had before coloring grays. I saw the Olia package with "natural flower oil" for shine and thought it would be 2 things: more gentle and shiny. Within minutes of putting it on my scalp stung (Feria doesn't sting at all and Olia's treatment was 10 minutes longer than Feria. The color is darker with less dimension than but it covered the gray beautifully, my hair is soft and shiny, and I do still have some highlights. Next time I'll look for a lighter shade.

Hi, my hair is dark brown on top and goes to a blondish/copper ombre. I'm not liking the way it looks right now and want to take it back to my dark brown color. Would I be able to do that with this box color?

Hi! You are safe to re-color your hair darker as long as there are no areas of your hair that are pale or white blonde. If they are that light you will have to do a color correction to avoid breakage or discoloration. Hope this helps!

                      A:

Lightening dark brown hair is a bit of a challenge. Most hair dyes, like the Olia shades, can lighten natural hair up to 2 shades lighter than the natural color. For dark brown hair, the lightest it can go with a shade of Olia is light neutral brown 6.03. To go lighter than a light brown and into a darker blonde shade, we recommend using the Nutrisse Ultra Color in the shade ultra light cool blonde LB1.
Another option is to lighten the hair to a light brown and put in some highlights with a separate highlighting kit.

So I have an ombré look going on. My roots are a light brown which is natural and then my ends are blond which is colored back from october, it's like a mix between golden/honey blonde. I would like to be blonde all over again but I'm nervous that with the fade into the blonde, it all won't match up? Suggestions?

Hi there! Since your hair is light brown naturally and Olia doesn't contain ammonia it will not be able to lift your hair to a blonde so it won't match the bottom half of your hair. Hello Marie! It depends on how dark your natural brown hair is. If your natural color is closer to an auburn I would not suggest the Dark Blonde shade. We would recommend the Light Brown to start out. Make sure to perform a strand before applying it all over your hair as well. This will be able to show you if it will bring out the brassy tones in your hair or not. We hope this information is helpful!

However, if your hair is color treated dark brown, you may not see the same shade like the box because hair color cannot lighten another hair color. Permanent hair color does not make hair oily. You may not need to shampoo as frequently when you color the hair but you will never have to shampoo more frequently.

                      A:

While you can't physically mix 2 shades into one developer bottle, if you want to use a medium brown on the roots and a light brown in the last 10 minutes of your timing to refresh the color on the previously dyed hair, that's fine. If you go that route, mix up both colors at the same time and leave the top off the developer bottle of the light brown until its time to refresh the color on the ends of the hair. This will keep the mixture from over heating in the bottle.
