OJONŽ - A TRUE STORY...
From the remote tropical rainforests of Central America, an ancient native secret to naturally
beautiful hair has been discovered. Central America's Miskito Indians, living on the lowlands along the Caribbean coast, were encountered by Columbus on his fourth voyage to the Americas in 1502. Five centuries later, the Miskito live very much as they did then. In their native language, they are called Tawira, or "the people of beautiful hair." The secret to their beautiful hair is exclusive OjonŽ, a rich oil extracted from the tropical OjonŽ tree. This unique tree is native to the Mosquitia region of Central America.
PRESERVING TRADITION
OjonŽ oil is still harvested and extracted by the Tawira as it has been for centuries. From Central America it travels to a small village in Northern Italy where the oil is filtered and purified in order to preserve its potency, and then blended in our formulas. Because of the purity of OjonŽ oil and the traditional methods used by the Tawira to extract it, slight variations in color, texture and scent are not uncommon between harvests. The results, however, are always the same. These variations also occur as each of the Tawira harvest and process their own oil from different regions of the rainforest.
