HUGE MISTAKE

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash:

What a horrible idea for me to try a different cleanser to get rid of my hormonal acne. I've been on Cetaphil for as long as I can remember but decided to switch because my hormonal acne was getting worst. Boy did I make a HUGE mistake. Washed in the morning using this face wash and about mid afternoon, I noticed around my eyes were starting to become puffy / swollen. Didn't think anything of it until the very next morning when my face is full of tiny itchy burning bumps and I looked like a chipmunk from being so swollen!! My face is red and looks to have been chemically burned. Feels like I was horribly sunburnt with how painful this made my face. I am now on day 4 while taking Benadryl and my face still hasn't healed whatsoever. Even washing my face makes it burn so badly. NEVER AGAIN. Steer clear from this product. I should have read reviews prior to purchasing.

I thought this would work because there were so many great reviews but it's awful lol. I have super oily skin & It was sooooo drying it made my skin itchy and irritated. I have tons of tiny bumps around my jawline (& i never break out in that area) . Moisturizer didn't even help.

I have been using every expensive face wash without results. got this as a gift from ulta. my Acne has cleared up in 4 days. this is the most underrated face wash. I have oily and dry skin. this doesn't dry up your skin or makes it oily.

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash:

I usually use proactiv which keeps my skin SUPER clear. I ran out and needed something with similar ingredients but for a little cheaper and this was what I chose. So far my experience has been great! My minor breakouts are kept at bay and my skin texture is pretty clean and smooth. Wish it felt a little more textured and had more scrubbing power to it, but it's good for now

TAKE CAUTION. I forgot my face wash at home and used this one (my little sisters) without realizing it had Salicylic Acid, which apparently burns my skin. I used twice over two days, and on the third day I woke up and had very obvious burns on my face where I scrubbed with this wash. It is HARSH. I had to use hydrocortisone cream which only helped a little. BE CAREFUL, DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE.

I tried it as a dermatologist recommended on Youtube, I guess it might work for some people but for me it was a disaster! I have combination skin and hormonal acne. First time I used it it dried my skin HORRIBLY and it broke me out (both things at the same time!). As I was trying other products, I gave it a second go this week (just that product) and it did it again! Breakouts on my chin and nose! HORRIBLE! Never again!

I use to have acne, not a lot, but as soon as one blemish was starting to clear up, another already reared it's ugly head. I have combination skin, sometimes oiler in the summer. tried this wash 2xs/day for a couple of days and my face started to clear up but was very dry. I added moisturizer (which I skip at night in the summer) and it helped but I didn't like the dryness. After one week, I decided to use this product 1xs/day (at night) and my Clinique for combo/oily skin in the morning. My face is still clear and more balanced. 4 stars for clearing and preventing acne, one less star for drying out skin.
