Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color Nourishing Color Creme dramatically transforms naturally dark hair with ultra reflective tones. Choose from Ultra Light Blondes, Ultra Intense Reds and Burgundies, Ultra Lightening Browns, and Ultra Reflective Blacks. Ultra Light Blondes take dark brunettes to blonde without bleach, Ultra Intense Reds and Ultra Intense Burgundies offer vibrant red tones for darker hair, Ultra Lightening Browns lift dark hair up to three shades lighter without the brassiness, and Ultra Reflective Blacks transform even the darkest hair with visibly reflective, shiny tones. Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color Nourishing Color Creme comes with an ampoule of grapeseed oil to start nourishing hair while you color because nourished hair means better color. The non-drip hair color formula spreads easily and the after-color conditioner is infused with 3 fruit oils--avocado, olive and shea--for silkier, shinier, more nourished hair.
Always refer to insert inside product for detailed application instructions.

Precautions: Haircolor and bleaches contain ingredients which may cause allergic and/or other types of reactions. A skin allergy test is required 48 hours before each use of a haircolor product. Bleaches contain persulfates. Bleaches and high-lift haircolor shades cannot be used on relaxed hair; for other haircolor shades, wait at least 14 days after bleaching, relaxing or perming before coloring. This is a safety summary. Read all product labeling and instructions completely prior to use.

Comments about Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color:

I have dark brown hair and have dyed my hair myself at least a dozen times, as I sometimes like to add a tint of red for the fall and winter. I love Garnier shampoo and conditioners so I figured I'd give their deep burgundy hair color a try. Big mistake. I'm not exaggerating when I say there's not a single hint of red in my hair. If anything, it's a slightly darker brown. I'll stick to the other, slightly more expensive brands I've tried. Very bummed.

Comments about Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color:

I usually go to the salon to get my hair dyed, but I bought the denim blue color thinking that it could be a good change. I applied it to my hair, but when I after 5 minutes I went to shower because the hair was darkening quickly. Anyway, after I washed my hair 4 times, the color was darker than in the box, but after another 2 hair washes looks great.

I dye my hair often but i always use loreal feria..for some reason i saw this and thought i should try it out...big mistake. After the first couple washes, my hair felt rough and still smelled like the hair dye which i thought it was weird because it has never happened to me. Not sure i would be ordering this in the future.

there's enough ammonia in this to choke a horse! My regular brand and color (Loreal Feria Power Violet) was out of stock so I tried this. BAD MOVE! my eyes were burning. And the color is not even close to whats on the box. Dark Intense Violet; nothing intense about it; it's just dark brown auburn. And even though i smeared conditioner on my hairline to avoid staining on my skin it stained anyway. My regular brand doesnt do that. But hey it covered the gray so the world wont end. Just wont ever buy again.

I was thinking about using this dark indigo, but I'm not sure how it would work for me. My hair is naturally light/medium brown, but is currently dyed to a very bright red. I've never bleached it, but I'm still worried about the color not showing up correctly.

                  A:

The Nutrisse Ultra Color Dark Intense Indigo IN1 is best for anyone with natural hair between Light Brown and Darkest Brown. So on your natural hair this shade is a great choice. However, hair that has been previously colored can affect the final results. In this case, you hair has a bright red shade in it. Since red and blue make purple, its very likely your final result will have more of a purple look to it.
When applying hair dye to previously colored hair be sure to follow the touch up directions. Since the previously dyed hair will grab color so much faster than the new growth at the roots, we only recommend leaving the haircolor on the previously dyed hair for 5 minutes at the end of your timing. This produces the best results root to tip and keeps the hair from coming out too dark or with an extreme result.

I've been looking around to see if any blonde hair colors could would for my brown hair. (I would describe it as chestnut.) I'm trying my best to avoid bleaching it, and I'm only really finding a color to do an ombre type style. If I was to purchase the lightest shade, would it work out? Thanks!

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

Hi, Clair! Our Ultra Color Line is suitable for naturally dark hair. Most of the shades does not contain bleach but contain a higher developer in order to lighten your hair. The lightest shade, PL1 Lightest Platinum, does contain bleach though. If you are trying to do an ombre, we do not recommend this because we have only tested this as a full head or touch up application. The time and results would be different if you plan to use this product for an ombre hair style.

Hi Nelly31! It is possible that if you put IN1 Dark Intense Indigo over an auburn haircolor, the result could look purple. We recommend that you neutralize the red first with Nutrisse 50 Medium Brown. As long as your hair is in good condition you can use IN1 48 hours later.

The Nutrisse Ultra Color shade IN1,Dark Intense Indigo is best for anyone with natural hair between Light Brown and Darkest Brown. On the dark hair you will achieve ultra bold indigo reflects but on any hair that has lightened to a shade lighter than a light brown, the results may look more faded or discolored. Hair that has a lot of yellow (most blondes) covered with a blue shade will look green. (yellow and blue always make green).

                  A:

Nutrisse Ultra Color LB1, Ultra Light Cool Blonde, was specially formulated to lighten up to four levels without bleach. It is best for anyone with natural hair between light brown and darkest brown that wants to achieve a cooler toned blonde. The darker the natural hair, the more warmth will appear in the final result.
For women with currently colored hair, there are special considerations for the color result you can achieve. Because of this, we do not recommend shade LB1 for use over hair that has been bleached, highlighted, hair that is predominantly gray, or if you have recently colored your hair "Dark Blonde" or darker.

Switching brands of hair color is not a problem, however, be sure to continue to apply your new color following the touch up directions. The new growth needs the full time to process, but the previously dyed ends only need the last 5-10 minutes of the process to pick up enough color.
However, if you're trying to use a lighter shade over hair that has been dyed with a darker color, the dark dye has to be removed from the hair before you can go lighter,
