Comments about Butter London Nail Foundation Priming Basecoat:

I went to nail school so I'm a bit of a nail snob, BUT, most importantly I want the polish I buy to last...ESPECIALLY if I'm paying a fortune for it. I just bought 3 bottles. They are all going back bc I buffed my nails, put on the base/primer, added two coats of color then the top coat and still, still chipped within 3 days. If I'm paying $60 for all three products I expect it to last!!! I'll just get my manicure.

Comments about Butter London Nail Foundation Priming Basecoat:

I work in a lab, so I'm constantly washing my hands/taking gloves on and off. Even professional manicures only last about 3 days for me. I used this in combination with the Hardwear Shine UV Topcoat. Even using this with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear (which normally lasts a grand total of about a day for me using other base/top coat combinations), this lasted a week with minor chipping about halfway through.

I had acrylics for 4 years and got them off recently. I've been struggling to find a polish that will fill in the ridges left from my old acrylics and also improve nail health, until this. This has saved my nails, and manicures!

If I use this product and their topcoat with Zoya nail polish I can go over a week without a chip. Expensive but well worth the money.

Comments about Butter London Nail Foundation Priming Basecoat:

I am one of those people who have impossible nails. I have been doing my nails for years so I know all about nail prep and cleaning prior to application. I was really hopeful about this brand after reading reviews of others who struggle to keep nail polish from levitating. I bought the base, color and top to give it a full effort. It lasted 48 hrs. before I had major chipping. By 2.5 days I removed it because it was too embarrassing to wear around town. I had high hopes but for the price, I get about the same wear from Sally Hansen Miracle Gel, which is markedly cheaper. Thus far, Nubar makes the best base coat I have found for my difficult nails. With Nuba, any polish I have used with it lasts 4 days.

I will say that if you are someone who doesn't struggle with polish longevity, this might be just the thing. I liked the brush on the base and it seemed to self-level very nicely. Capping the tips with the base didn't leave ridges on the tip at all. It went on beautifully. I can't say as much for the color but that is a different review.

I bought this along with the Butter topcoat. I got a small chip on one nail after 5 days of wear, and even after 7 there were only a few small chips. I'll be using both when I do my nails every week.

Comments about Butter London Nail Foundation Priming Basecoat:

I love this nail primer, it goes on smooth and dries quickly. It also goes on thin, which most primers are thick and sticky. I wish it didn't start chipping so soon though, I have a job where I use my hands a lot, and it only lasted about 3 days (I haven't found one that lasts longer than that on me).

The Nail Foundation Priming Basecoat is best used with no nail hardener underneath.
