Comments about SheaMoisture Mongongo & Hemp Seed Oils High Porosity Moisture-Seal Co-Wash:

I will say I'm not the biggest fan of this line I will be honest. But i wanted to try it out because i do have high priosity hair. Most of their products just don't work for me. I have extremely thick hair that is about waist length. I had to use just about the whole bottle to get enough product. I have a go to cowash I already use and it works better. My hair did not feel clean after using this. My other natural product I use works more effective in cleaning and its a cowash not a shampoo. I also use way less product to clean my hair with my regular brand. I will say this. The hair mask in this line is phenomenal! I definitely will stick with it . results one the first use is immediately noticeable.

Comments about SheaMoisture Mongongo & Hemp Seed Oils High Porosity Moisture-Seal Co-Wash:

This co-wash is the best co-wash or shampoo product I've ever used!. I love the calmed down look of my curls. They are shiny and amazing when I let them air dry. I haven't blow-dried, so I don't know how that would turn out. But, for natural curls that look great- the co-wash followed with by the Finishing Elixir (for detangling) followed with the styling gel leave my hair looking better than ever. It won me over from Deva Curl, at first because the price was better, but after one use, I ordered more so that I wouldn't run out. It isn't very easy to find. I'm glad Ulta is carrying it!

This product is pretty good for my 4a/3c high porosity hair. It detangles decently but I typically detangle after conditioning so it's not a deal breaker. My hair does feels smoother at the ends and scalp does get cleaned and not stripped.

Comments about SheaMoisture Mongongo & Hemp Seed Oils High Porosity Moisture-Seal Co-Wash:

This works great for me. I have medium/high porosity hair and this is the best cowash I have tried and I have tried many. My complaint about other cowashes that I have tried is that they don't cleanse my scalp well enough or were too greasy or had too much glycerin or were drying. My hair is medium length and kinky tightly coiled but very fine and dry, so maybe this may not be quite emollient or moisturizing enough for ladies with much thicker, coarser or color treated hair, but for me it does the job without leaving any buildup on my fine strands. I cowash in between shampoos. This rinses clean every time, feels refreshing on my sensative scalp, has great slip and is very very gentle and simple. It's a cowash; I don't rely on this for anything other than cleansing my hair and not stripping it. I follow with my fave conditioner for moisture and detangling.

            Disappointed with This Entire Line

Comments about SheaMoisture Mongongo & Hemp Seed Oils High Porosity Moisture-Seal Co-Wash:

I truly dislike this entire line of products even though I have high porosity hair. I usually use the Superfruit conditioner to cowash but decided to try an actual cowash designed for my hair type. I assumed that since the consistency was thick and creamy that it would be moisturizing but I was so wrong! Used a little, used a lot and my hair didn't feel clean, detangled, or moisturized.

Comments about SheaMoisture Mongongo & Hemp Seed Oils High Porosity Moisture-Seal Co-Wash:

I use this in place of a shampoo, and gently massage it starting at my scalp and then use it to detangle my ends. It rinses cleanly, and you still should use a leave-in conditioner afterwards! I've tried a few other cleansing conditioner type products, even a few from the Shea Moisture line, and this one definitely makes a difference for my poor, tangly hair. I have curly hair, with fine strands that get damaged easily and never holds onto moisture. I definitely have high porosity hair, moisture and water just go in and out of my hair. I look forward to washing my hair now, since this stuff makes it feel so good. My hair feels soft and manageable after washing with this, and doesn't get as tangled on itself. I only wish they sold this in a larger bottle, as when co-washing I use a ton of product. One of these small bottles only lasts me 3-4 washes total, which doesn't sound like much, but it's usually over a few weeks.

Comments about SheaMoisture Mongongo & Hemp Seed Oils High Porosity Moisture-Seal Co-Wash:

A friend is absolutely mad for this co-wash. And since I "inducted" her into the SheaMoisture 'army' :) when I saw Ulta was carrying this and the Low Porosity line I knew I had to order some of this for my friend (she can't get this where she lives) and why not get some for myself.

I'm used to co-washing, it's how I cleanse my hair more often than not so I'm not a novice to co-washing or cleansing conditioners. If I'm not co-washing, I'm using various SheaMoisture shampoos and conditioners.

This did not work for me at all. Yes I massaged it through well, yes I left it set on my hair, then massaged through again. I will say I had a mis-read of the High Porosity line, I thought it was protein-free. It's not, there are proteins in it. Maybe that's why I didn't get the results my friend does? My hair is protein sensitive. And I do need moisture and hydration because it's porous, fine and thin. This didn't give me that ooooo hair feels like butter that other SheaMoisture products do for me. I needed a rinse out conditioner. That's after I rinsed this co-wash thoroughly, then grabbed the High Porosity shampoo thinking I just needed to cleanse a bit more. Nope, neither did the trick and the ends of my hair are now sticking straight out. Going to be an overnight argan oil treatment kind of night tonight. Will be returning :(
